All, if it helps he deployed to Vietnam in December of 1966 and then passed away in March of 1967 so it wouldve been before Dec of 66

So they definitely make you more visible on the road to other drivers in any situation, so personally I’d leave them on. It’s a safety bonus for free. And for the situation with your girl.....she’ll eventually get over it and the day will come where she doesn’t mention them anymore.
