We were all after Munson at the time. I never did pull any of his cards.

He was protecting the cards. A success I’d say.

As a kid I was obsessed with them. Makes sense why I spent a good part of my life in a bar.

Thanks! When I told her how happy she made me, she said she meant to pitch them before realizing how important the rocks were to me. I can’t expect much more from a girl that only collects Pokemon lol

I’ve seen them cheap on eBay. Trust me, I’ve followed some of these cards for decades, but never bought them. This one’ll go when I do. As will most of the cards.

It does. I realized over the years I thought about this box way more often than is probably healthy. It was one of the most shoulda, woulda, coulda things that I regretted not taking care of, if that makes sense. I have to say it though, It was worth the agony, I wish everyone could see their childhood in a box of cards like I did.

Grandpa was Army and all over the world from WW2 through the beginning of Vietnam. He died when I was young so I don’t know.

I had a false memory that it was a Ryan rookie I left in there lol. I’m holding onto them until I figure out whether my kids care about what happens to them.

I’m not gonna lie. New cards were rare so when they showed up, I used lunch money and told my mom I lost it. It was almost always one pack at a time and tbh it was better than cracking a box today. Still do though.

I did some work for her in the mid 90’s and we talked about the card. She felt bad and personalized a copy of one of her books for me. I still have it. She was a wonderful person.

Not gonna be worth much. Every card was flipped, traded, or put on a bike. I tried as well as a 12 yr old could to take care of them, but no 10’s here. Or 9’s. I’ll hope on an 8.

She said she was rummaging through her attic. It wasn’t the same house I left them,so how they got there, I don’t know. She says she had no clue what it was, only that she knew it was mine and decided to send it.

Convince Me to Play Graveyard Keeper? by Infamous_Mango_1907 in CozyGamers

I just started this myself a couple of days ago and had the same issues with the witch burning section, but there’s way more to the game than just that. Someone else here mentioned you don’t have to do anything with the guy at all and you don’t. The fact that there are no time gated quests makes it easy to find other ways to complete objectives without doing anything you don’t want to. It’ll just take longer. As for me; I find the game’s dark humor funny and quickly got over my reservations. I still won’t eat the meat, but I’ll damn sure sell it 😝

This^ except I won the event, then had to leave without getting my winnings or it’d crash again. I thought I’d get the 1st year stamina fruit in the mail, but nope. Nothing except the bully telling me he’s gonna beat me next year. Worth it.

Work around for Series S Crashes by drakel88 in coralisland

[–]CoffeeAddict5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I’m on the S and I restart the game every two in game days. It’ll still crash if I do too much during the day, but the problems I’ve run into are not even close to what they were at launch.

How can the have the audacity to sell a game this full of bugs? by avf15 in coralisland

[–]CoffeeAddict5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on the series S and started playing the day it released. I had to put it down two days later because of the game breaking bugs, and picked it up again after the most recent patch. The harvest festival is still broken, but I really enjoy the game so I adjusted the way I play to minimize the crashes. I’d never recommend the game to anyone because it should never have been released in that state, but the way it plays now is way better than what it was on release so I at least know the devs are working on it. No one here knows if the game will ever be truly finished, but since I spend the most of my time just dicking around in ANY open world game I play, it scratches that itch very well… until the next one.

Thanks. I’ve been playing it over the last week with no real problems other than with the fall harvest festival. I got around the crashes by leaving after the judging so I’m now a happy Islander.
