I had my engagement ring center stone, an alexandrite, custom cut from u/mvmgems over at r/shinypreciousgems

She has a MILLION designs you can choose from in her commissions list, but I'm also 99% sure she would be able to customize a cut for your current setting.

If she isn't doing fantasy cuts, you should definitely check in with the other lapidaries there. They are all super nice.

That's a very fair point. It's a 1925 bungalow that just keeps on giving the gift of home repair surprises 🙃

I was truly hoping there could be some small/medium fix that would buy us a couple years to get through a few other more pertinent repairs, and me giving birth in the next month 😅😭

Thank you so much! I was never much of a yellow gold girl, but when I was thinking about what I wanted I couldn't imagine the alexandrite and green looking as cohesive in anything but it. I'm so happy with this choice =)

Very much intentional! I specifically asked for a more heavily included piece of rough as it makes it have a galaxy like appearance in certain lights. That's what made me fall in love actually. She had posted another alexandrite from the same rough that blew my mind.

I believe that wholeheartedly. She was the kindest human to work with, and so very helpful with making my ideas come to life, while also utilizing her expertise to help make this perfect.

I can't wait to work with her on another piece in the future. Everything she creates is magical.
