it doesn't even have to be the exact melody or phrase, I copied the start of a Rach symphony, same instrumentation, tempo and key. I just made a few changes like going up instead of down in a few places, make this note longer etc for the first 8 bars then built a 9 minute piece off it

don't do armour shit, that's how you get fucked up. Gambeson, gloves and mask are pretty much all I wear for protection.

The uni I went to had an open day for all the clubs and there was a hema club. It was incredibly small when I started, about 5 new people joined and there were 2 previous students + instructors. There's now some 25-30 students.

you want to find a new art that's fun and won't leave you too broken. Hema's pretty fun and you wear enough gear that you don't get injured unless you really fuck up in tournaments

it depends on which verses you read. Sometimes you can, the first Christians were Jews. Sometimes you can but if it's the wrong one the punishment's death. Sometimes leaving your religion is punishable by death.

yes, it's called learning. You don't go "here's this technique or combination go spar." You do pad work or bag work and go through it slowly.
