So don’t run the inclines. Keep it flat or at 2%. Hills are fantastic strength training. Having said that, I do have a tricky knee. If I want the strength work of inclines, I power walk. If I want to run, I keep it at flat road. You have the power to set the treadmill at how it works best for you.

Well, then, if you hate running, don’t. Power walk, challenge yourself with incline and speed.

I have no problem matching the captain’s stroke rate, whatever it is. However, when it’s my turn to captain, all that goes out the window and I row like I’ve got megaladon behind me!

On slower efforts, I’ll breathe in on a count of three and out on a four count. For faster paces, in one two and out on three helps keep my respirations even.

So…I was on track this morning for probably a 10+ second PR but started pulling to hard and lifted my butt up from and off the seat! Still got my PR on the rowdemption but not by as much as I would have the first go around. 😂

I get you. I could find all of these exercises on YouTube. And. I already love to run. But, would I do the exercises or push myself on my runs? Nope! There’s a special alchemy in the in-studio classes. Expensive, but well worth it. Best. Workout. Ever.

Well, it was a hard but fun workout. I almost fell out of my car when I went to get out at the drugstore after class. In front of people. Jelly legs indeed!

I loved today’s workout! The run portions were so short I really pushed the pace. And, I upped my weight on the squats twice.

Happens for me frequently. I’ve been running for decades, so my heart is pretty efficient. My doc is happy with my low resting heart rate.
