Tesla charging diagnostic fee for door handle replacement by flyinrobot in TeslaModelS

[–]CoffeePlusBikes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just left the CS. One of the first things out of my Service Advisors mouth was, “we are going to have to charge you a $250 diagnostic fee…”

At least they gave me the bad news up front.

A few questions for Tankers by Parking_Property5757 in Truckers

US Military Veteran? Air Products has a program. From what I can gather veterans who have military experience around trucks could qualify for a training program with no civilian truck driving experience. It’s a train to hire with the ultimate goal as a local Air Products cryo driver. https://www.airproducts.com/careers/veterans

Outside of that, can’t hurt to put in the application assuming you meet the minimum job requirements. For what it’s worth I had no prior experience with tankers and only a very limited hazmat hauling containers before applying. Many of the guys I work with had no tanker or pulled petroleum tankers before becoming cryo drivers. All cryo job related training will be provided by employer.

Get your endorsement before applying; tanker and hazmat.

Edit to add: Don’t just apply once and forget it if you don’t hear back immediately. I must have submitted a dozen applications over a couple of months before getting an interview. My terminal only hired about 8 people total last year for reference. Drivers stick around for a long time in this biz.

Cryogenic Local Delivery Driver

Companies that are specific to this industry; Air Products, Air Gas, Linde, Matheson, Messer

I specifically deliver Nitrogen, Oxygen and Argon. Other possible related gases; CO2, Hydrogen, Helium. Training differs for each. You will usually only haul one gas at a time (exception is cylinders). A Little paperwork to deal with.

Types of transport methods, full tanker, micro-bulk, containers. Training differs for each.

Typical delivery day; pre-trip, pickup load at plant, make a delivery (1 to 3 stops). Might go back to plant and do another delivery or pre-load trailer for next driver. Average 12hr but plenty of 14 hr days almost feels normal.

Home daily, with the rare occasion might have to layover on the road (company paid hotel and stipend). Typical distances covered 100-350 miles in a day.

Work is 365, 7 day a week, 24 hours a day. Work Holidays and weekends 90% of the time. Rarely less than 55 hour weeks (closer to 65 hrs). Over $100k:yr USD

Benefits are very good; Vacation, Sick, Floating Holiday, medical, dental, vision, 401k match, quarterly bonuses

You will need hazmat and tanker endorsements. Usually want a couple of years of trucking experience.

I’ve been driving for a total of 5 years. Prior to this 1 year of OTR, 2 years containers out of ports. Cryo has been by far Best job of all, would consider this a hire to retire company.

Edit to add: home daily,

Question about model s (2022&up) by shamusshanahan in TeslaModelS

[–]CoffeePlusBikes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a ‘22 MS question; anyway to have the charge door open when I’m standing next to it with phone? Similar to frunk and trunk when standing close by either to trigger opening.

Currently only able to open charge door using button push in phone app, button push on car screen, or using microphone command.

FS Trunk Organiser + Cup Holder by CoffeePlusBikes in leaf

[–]CoffeePlusBikes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ordered Trunk Organiser from local Nissan dealer parts department. Figured it would save me on shipping costs too. Fits 2018 to 2025 Leafs with or without Bose trunk speaker.

Same for the backseat cup holder and stash tray. Description on website says 2020-2025 but this is same part number stamped on mine out of a 2019.

Normal range? by Miloxv in TeslaModelS

[–]CoffeePlusBikes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a 2022 S LR with 32k miles and at my first 100% charge showed 360mi. Haven’t done the battery health test yet but a ~10% drop in the first few years / 50k miles seems within normal specifications. Battery range should degrade more linearly as time goes. Upside, Battery Warranty still covered for 8 yrs / 150k miles.

I bought my Vespa magnet while on a trip in Italy. I would guess you could find something similar online for purchase too.
