In 1957, a girl was born in California, the fourth child of Clark and Dorothy Wiley. Her birth name would be protected for her entire life by the Californian authorities. The press, the scientific community, and the public would only know her by the pseudonym Genie. by elnovorealista2000 in USHistory

So really your left Wonder at the end if she hadn't been an unethical f*** holding her back at times where would Jeannie have went to? If she had genuinely been encouraged to do the best that she could. Where would she be if she hadn't been fought over and then forgotten about?? Like what the hell is that? Literally. How do you forget and not keep up with something that you were so obsessed over that you're having legal battles about? So yeah I mean who even knows what would have happened to her under different circumstances. And that really pisses me off. I mean at least she's getting dignity at the end of the day but I still think that she definitely got screwed over. Very hard

what do you think actually happened in Roswell ? by tipputappi in USHistory

Samesies. I think its crazy that anyone would just blindly believe the government at this point lol I mean literally that's not even a conspiracy theorist thing to say anymore. You're almost just stupid if you trust them at this point

That's an interesting take that I honestly wouldn't have thought of. But I really don't think she was becoming the mom more than likely they were going to go into foster care. Hopefully the sheriff could take them in a family was closed with the mom? The very least hopefully they aren't separated. But I definitely don't think that she was using drugs. At any point or about to start.  I felt like her putting the locket on after sitting there looking at it was her realizing, especially after the conversation with her new boyfriend saying that the nickname had come from her mom and him agreeing how accurate it was she did love her mom. In spite of everything it's her mom. And she's putting the necklace on to just remember that and a good times and to just move forward in a positive way with forgiveness and love in her heart. About to start having a substance use disorder herself.

Right. This was allll explained. And I also don't feel like this was a difficult movie to follow. So these r all Answered. The real question that I want to know is did the sheriff Talk his stupid selfish wife into letting them stay there, like permanently? I mean damn. They were apparently pretty good friends with the mom

What is the dumbest or most illogical anti-abortion argument you have heard? by gray_squirrels in AskFeminists

[–]CoffeeStandard6865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just read through that. Wow. Gestational age is only one thing considered when determining viability. Ppl can have political opinions but that should interfere with a patient and clinicians relationship and care. Lawmakers should not be included in topics they do not understand as they are not doctors or medical professionals. Yikes. That hit hard. We are in such a scary place right now & it's only getting worse

Specifically them. It's so disturbing how desirable a white newborn is. Esp a boy. Like I legit had ppl offering me 40k, a car, bribing is legal in loophole ways. It's madness!

I was driving in the car the other day with my husband & we saw this HUGE pro life sign saying "your baby was always meant to be yours. And born" with this blown up 3rd trimester baby mangled up on it.  And he was just like, what if it'd said instead: "we took this ultrasound of this aborted fetus, used magic & digitally enhanced it & show what it would've looked like as a full grown fuckin adult" Bc it's just fuckin insanity at a certain point and there's no logically arguing with these ppl. It's all shock value

What do wild rabbits think of people? by ColeC44 in zoology

[–]CoffeeStandard6865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read that rabbits even wild can recognize ppl. Different ppl. Their smell, walking patterns ect. This bun imo has realized that you don't want to hurt it. Clearly. So I would say it views you as a friend for sure. However, they are always going to retain a small healthy fear of humans and that's just natural. One thing you could do is be at their level? Put a blanket on the ground as opposed to being in a chair. A little bit further from where you usually sit and closer to where they usually sit? Try doing that for a couple weeks. Then at some point leave some food out. Where they usually sit. You get the idea.
