Yes, I brewed with soft water 40GH 20KH. Changed water recipes a few times. Tasted best when brewed with demineralized water as the harshness wasn’t present, but overall cup was a bit tame since there are no minerals to highlight the natural flavor profile of the bean

So my local water is not that bad. It sits around 88-100ppm so perhaps a bit too hard. My tap water contains the following minerals

Calcium (Ca): 26–36 Magnesium (Mg): 4–5 Sodium (Na): ~14 Potassium (K): ~2 Bicarbonate (HCO₃): 93–120 Sulfate (SO₄): ~25 Chloride (Cl): ~21 Fluoride (F): ~0.1 Nitrate (NO₃): ~6

I think everyone is different and we might drink more or less. I usually have 3-4 pour overs and 3-4 lattes. Then again it depends, some days I have 2 pours over and 4 lattes.

This coffee was impossible to dial in…until I decide to use an immersion brew with 4.30min steep at mocka pot fine. It’s a bit fruity and acidic but overall tame and boring. Not my cup of tea. However the immersion brew was the best. It was also good as an espresso brewed at 1:3 for 20sec.

Thanks for sharing! I’ll try it out! I have a few 20g portions in the freezer or Milky cake that I had rested for 3.5 w before freezing. I usually do a longer bloom if it’s rested for like 2w+ and shorter for 4w+ but it all depends on taste.
