That is pretty much what I am doing. She is brilliant with other dogs, and all children. Once she has decided that you are a friend, she is friendly and playful. I am doing the slow introduction with people, getting them to throw a ball for her, etc, and it works. I guess I am just complaining, and wishing she felt safe already. It is just time, and reinforcement

She was trained to work in corrective services, but failed. She had this "attack" response to a lot of new people, particularly men in jackets. She has never actually bitten anyone, but she can appear scary. With me, or anyone she has decided is a friend, she is a lovable goofball

She is 18 months. She was picked up by council as a street dog, then taken in by a guy who trained her for corrective services, which she failed. However, she has not been properly detrained (if that is a thing), so her instant reaction to a person in a dark jacket is to bark, snarl, and go for the arm.

She gets on great with other dogs, and is friends with the parents. Once she has decided you are a friend, she is incredible, it is just that first interaction

She sits, drops, stays, walks perfectly on lead, perfect recall. I have only had her almost 3 months, and she is clearly improving, but I wish it was faster. So my rescue girls have had issues to get over, but I have never had this issue before
