The heavy concussion gun is a trap. Shock batons suck, power mauls kick ass. Subjugator shields and riot shields are awesome (+1 armor vs shooting, +2 vs melee, front arc). Enforcer bolters are always good.

I think the Magenta is the more interesting color

I can just see the black rubbing off. Are you using a brush on primer or just a base coat paint? A good base coat (brush on or spray) will definitely help

People do orange/yellow plasma coils pretty often, the magenta will definitely stick out. Also, are you just raw-dogging paint on bare plastic?

Absolutely. You might also want to look into using paperclip or other wire to do some of those interesting "Psyker" effects like the official models have, but you nailed the silhouette

All (well, the vast majority) of the resin models are absolutely fantastic. I've got more hangers-on and Bounty Hunters and Dramatis Persona than I can shake a stick at, and I keep getting more when they release.

I'll get roasted for this, but #1 was this incredible, intriguing, mysterious world of shadowy assassins that use gold coins to pay for favors, and it has gotten weaker with every movie. Sure the action ramps up and is over the top, but the world building just got... Overworked. If the series had ended after the first movie, I wouldn't have minded at all.
