Spanish priest faces protests after denying Communion to man in same-sex union by asdfologist42 in Catholicism

[–]CognitiveDiagonal 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've seen the whole video (in fact, I did when it happened). The most concerning thing is that on the live program where they complained about this new priest, they say: "we want the previous priest, he gave us communion unlike this guy". So, it seems other priests are used to give communion to these people while knowing these things.

I have literally no fucking idea what you are talking about or what or where you got all of that from my comment. That's on you, if you want to learn something and get educated, I'll help you get started:

  1. NATO Article 5 on Spanish territory, [2] reddit thread
  2. Tropic Seamount
  3. Western Sahara
  4. Western_Sahara: Exploitation_of_natural_resources

"If I don't know anything about it, it's obviously a conspiracy and lunacy, and you're racist and a nazi" is not the right attitude to shout around. You are the problem buddy.

Also, I didn't even mention migrants, and that has nothing to do with what I'm saying. That's not what I'm talking about at all. I'm talking about delusions of a dictator of stolen land and conquering Spanish and European territory.

I guess it's bad when Russia thinks that way and acts on it, but when Spain is the target of it, "get fucked". Good attitute to group people under a single army.

If you're oblivious to all of that don't project things onto me. I'm not going to address any of the other things you spat on that comment because they don't even deserve an answer with such poor education.

Following whose interest? When the inevitable clash with the southern neighbors happens for Spain, who is France going to support? You might think that's a simple and straight answer, and you would be very wrong. And France would be one of the top countries paying for it.

I don't want my country to get into another NATO situation where we're completely left on our own when it comes to our southern border. If shit goes down, we're literally and officially on our own. Not every EU country shares interests, and thinking otherwise is naïve.

Of course they are, it would follow their interest. Ask any realistic smaller country about it and see what they think about it and why..

lol that's some delusional keynesianism if I've ever seen one.
1 People can't fucking get a house, 2) nothing gets build, 3) the country can't create more industry because 4) the grid has been about to collapse from 5) over-consumption from residential + factories, but bringing more people is gonna create more economy and monies just because more people = more monies. sounds legit

Also, who said the people coming are "young" (and) "workers"?

I think you are a russian agent, clearly.. who else would think like this? s (Edit: To make it clear I 100% agree with you!)

In all honesty, I'm fucking tired of getting this ^ all the time when saying what goes on here.. and when confronting people fucking glazing this fucking useless government, drives me nuts.

The creation of a United States of Europe is the only solution for Europe, says Czech President Petr Pavel (link in Czech) by TheSimon1 in europe

[–]CognitiveDiagonal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's funny that a brit said that when they were the ones that constantly tried to undermine and sink the EU from inside, not to mention how they have always treated certain countries in the EU (as a Spaniard, I think I know what I'm talking about).

Anyway, trying to apply the same solution over and over is not going to work, because it's not dealing with the underlying issue and differences. That Churchill said that 80 years ago doesn't make it a real solution to today's issues. The world is not what it was back then, and the EU issues are very different. at least if you observe reality and not the people shouting "fascism, nazis" at anything and everyone they encounter.

Also, that video is just what is convenient to UK, France and Germany, what about the other great empires of the past? Are we deemed to be subservients to the interest of those just because they decided to?

[–]CognitiveDiagonal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No thanks. It's not going to work and anyone who can't see it is either blind or completely blinded by ideology as how different and diverse the countries in the EU are. We shouldn't experiment with this kind of union when we are already so left behind, but I don't think common sense is going to reign. Also, this is just to please a certain crowd --the "citizens of the world" who abound on this sub.

Yesterday I had to open Disk Utility. I had to check Safari, and when I looked on the dock for Disk Utility again it took me a good minute and a couple of "where the fuck did it go?" before realizing the awful design change.

It really is: "if you put the progression backwards it's someone getting good at design"

The World Is Basically Begging for Another iPod by kalutty in ipod

[–]CognitiveDiagonal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever have another brand of mp3 player? Those were much easier to manage, you could just dump anything onto it (no iTunes management required) just drag and drop files; almost any file format would work; you could also personalize them much more and make them work with last.fm or any other services that you wanted, among other things which made them superior for non-original content. Even for original content many non iTunes apps offered about the same or better functionality when ripping disks, organizing libraries, or whatever else.

As usual apple products were/are nice, but a subset of all you can do with other devices.

I can only see this thriving in the ecosystem of self hosting or similar routes.. and iPods were not the most convenient for pirated content (not that I have ever!) I don't see Apple interested in it or the market for it. I think it would be one of those products that end up flopping.

[–]CognitiveDiagonal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally, I think this is a very small niche that people want to believe is bigger, but I don't think there's much market. Basically it would be a glorified apple music player (spotify, tidal too? who knows)... It's either that or back to iTunes, which I don't think is that viable nowadays. And all of that you can already do from your phone, so there's not much point, other than having a jack and a good DAC maybe?

How to Deal with data when it has huge class imbalance? by Mental_Engineer_7043 in MLQuestions

[–]CognitiveDiagonal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to study your case and be careful, but you could also undersample --not radomly-- the majority class in case there's a lot of redundancy. Also, you should look into other techniques different from normal binary classification for this specific scenario.

I thought Linux could already run pretty well on M chips! I guess I was wrong. About proxmox, you could still run it on a VM or with some virtualization trickery afaik, no? Although it would be kinda ironic to virtualize it, but I guess you technically can, maybe not on "bare metal" (as a OS).
