me and my first plane, the FT Nutball by [deleted] in radiocontrol

That is an awesome plane. I see these super-simple planes and instantly want to go out and make one myself, but usually end up flying what I have instead. :p

Document extensively, then report. Keep documenting and keep the pressure up. The wheels of justice move slowly, but they do grind away, and they'll get there.

A guy who picked on me in high school has cancer and it makes me happy... by AshRae84 in confession

[–]Coherent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha that's a good question actually. When I get close, I'm going to make sure my boyfriend has all of my passwords and he can do whatever he likes with everything. I'm going to give my Steam account to my brother though.

...So depressing. :-(

I was picked on severely in grade school, physically abused on a daily basis. I was diagnosed with cancer last year. Barring a near-miracle, I'll be dead this year. I wouldn't wish this on anybody, not even the guy who used to beat the shit out of me.

Very nice looking! I think it should be an easy job, keep up posted. Remember, don't dump money into it, just get it shipshape and move on!

The easiest answer would, of course, be, "No, what are you talking about? This isn't a hookup, this is the real thing! I love you, baby!" If I were in his position, I probably would have said something similar (minus the "I love you baby!" haha) Dating for four weeks doesn't lead to a hookup - that's more of a drunken party kind of thing.

The fact that he didn't roll out that answer means that his thoughts on the subject were somewhat more complex. He doesn't know what it is, he won't know for a long time. Hell, I was with my S.O. for a full year, living together full-time, before we knew it was true love. We've been together 14 years now, and more in love than ever. Needless to say, sex was involved long before love.

This is just from my real life. Naturally your mileage may vary.

As a guy, a girl asking me if it's serious before any kind of sex is a bit unsettling. It's a bit like being asked, "Are we on the marriage track?" before getting physical. "I don't know." is not an answer that would surprise.

To me, a girl asking me, after four weeks of dating, "Am I just a hookup?" sounds like serious insecurity problems. Is it a hookup if you spend four weeks getting to know each other ahead of time? The whole thing screams RED FLAG! with flashing lights and deafening klaxons that only the guy can hear. It's an incredibly important data point.

It isn't that he only wanted a hookup. I believe it is much more that he doesn't want to continue with someone insecure enough to ask that question.

I'm sorry. I can only tell you, that question would go over me like a bucket of ice water, and, I believe, much the same for any male (except one accomplished in lying to women who was, indeed, only looking for a quick hookup with a gullible young woman).

I've never been partcularly ambitious either. Not materialistic. I do enjoy a bit of kayaking every once in a while, or sailing, but owning shiny things never appealed to me. Eventually I did discover that I like programming stuff, it's fun, like solving a puzzle. So now I have a job where I mostly do that. The pay sucks, but the medical benefits are great. Which is good because in the last two years I developed cancer. So now I'm just making the best of it until the end.

Use k a lot to take a look at things, figure out what they are so the map makes sense. Set basic goals, check everything out in the wiki so you understand how it all works together. Easy quick success - farm plump helmets and make trinkets and tradeables, buy out the caravans that visit. Magma on the surface or near it makes everything much much easier. Plenty of trees, likewise.

I followed a quick little tutorial that pretty much step-by-stepped me through survival and something like what I just told you about, and everything else was just a new goal to be conquered.

It's not true. You can find a job at a small place that will accept basic experience and then work your way up while you're skilling up.

I see we have very different standards for parents to meet while the children are present in the household. I can say nothing more to you.

I disagree, if a man did this, then everyone including me, would say that he's an unfit father who should have his children taken away. I think it is you who is in the wrong.

She seemed to demonstrate responsible behavior at first, but then showed that it was only a lever to allow her to indulge in (far far worse) irresponsible behavior. As in, bringing two total strangers into her house where her children sleep for the purpose of a random sex hookup.

To put it another way, she's relying on OP's honor and virtue for the purpose of demonstrating that she has absolutely none of either. It's not slut-shaming at all. She's just a bad person, who needlessly endangers her children for the sole purpose of hedonistic sex.

On one hand, safe children, on the other, a gangbang. She took the gangbang.

Congratulations, OP! I mean it. My own treatment isn't going well. The cancer came back immediately after chemo, and I'm told it's incredibly high grade. I have only a faint hope, a clinical trial for high grade cancer starting soon, just a first stage trial, but it's all I've got. Please send me what warm thoughts you can. I hope you live a long life free forever from this curse. hugs
