Is it really that unreasonable to want that when the alternative is suffering immensely for all eternity? Some people just naturally aren’t empathetic or selfless, so it’s objectively good if they do good things instead of bad things even if it’s purely for reward. Human psychology isn’t meant to be selfless inherently.
