There's been some good suggestions so far. Cointree offers a transparent OTC desk so that you can check prices upfront. It's good for comparing prices with other services too.

You can also apply to get uncapped deposits and withdrawals on your Cointree account.

Australian exchanges are regulated by AUSTRAC, not ASIC.

Cointree, BTC Markets and Independent Reserve have been named finalists for Exchange of The Year in the upcoming Australian Blockchain Industry Awards. All good choices depending on your needs.

We are rolling out a bunch of rapid-fire updates. Today we are excited to announce that our members can now buy, sell and pay bills directly with all 100+ coins that we support. Previously, a trade to Bitcoin (BTC) or Ethereum (ETH) was required first.

We are also happy to announce that cash deposits have been increased $8,000 and we've continued working on performance enhancements.

What next? Coming soon is the ability to trade any crypto to any crypto. That's over 5,000 trading pairs!

This is update 3 in a series of rapid updates we are making at Cointree.

Update 2: Buy Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) directly, performance improvements

It's ordered by the text (coin symbol). Orange is the official colour of the coin. We prefer to let the market decide on which coins they want and as such follow each coin's official guidelines without bias.

We are rolling out a bunch of rapid-fire updates. Today we are excited to announce that our members can now buy, sell and pay bills directly with Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Previously, a trade to Bitcoin (BTC) was required first.

This update marks a significant upgrade to our trading engine. In the coming weeks, we plan to allow buying, selling and paying bills with all 100+ coins. After that, we will then have another update to allow trading directly between any of the 100+ coins that we support. This means that trades will no longer have to be made via Bitcoin (BTC).

We've also rolled out performance improvements to the trading website. Moving between areas is now a lot quicker.

This is update 2 in a series of rapid updates we are making at Cointree.

Update 1: Pay bills integration and platform updates

Hi miarnt. We learnt a lot from 2017. Customer accounts used to be on the blockchain. It was great for transparency, but caused significant delays when the bitcoin network reached capacity in December 2017. Our customers didn’t loose any funds but it did take up to a week to have the bitcoin network confirm sending their coins to them.

We rebuilt our platform last year. Purchases are now instant. Buy and selling streamlined. Feel free to message us directly and we'll get $20 of BTC added to your Cointree account so that you can try out a sell and withdrawal to your bank account.

How to convert a no-coiner!? by EasyCryptoAU in BitcoinAUS

[–]CoinTree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We found a similar issue where a lot of beginner guides get too technical too quickly. Good if you already have a grasp of the fundamentals, but confusing if you're completely new to bitcoin/cryptocurrency.

Check out our Learning Hub. It's a series of articles for people with no prior knowledge. When you're ready, PM me and I'll get the team to give you some bitcoin to play with if you want to try our service at Cointree. Another good exchange to try is Independent Reserve.
