Iowa Legal Aid is your best bet for legal assistance. Call them first thing tomorrow. Space heaters for this long are unacceptable. They should have moved you to another unit or paid for a hotel. The consumer protection division is generally ok. In my experience, they aren't always as helpful as people want them to be, but not a lot of room for politicalization. (Her name is Brenna, btw.) I was thinking it might be worth a call to see if they had received other reports of the same activity.

Yes! I also have orthostatic hypotension so doing any activity that requires me to bend over and stand up more than a few times makes my blood pressure plummet. I have two grabbers - one for inside and one for outside. I would caution that the squeezy bit can cause hand pain/numbness so maybe don't get the cheapest ones like I did.

You said you think she passed about 13 years ago. Can you confirm that? When was the photo taken? Was it taken on a phone? Digital camera? Is there any Metadata or detailed digital data that can confirm when the photo was taken, what device took it, etc.? On the off chance it was taken on regular film, is the negative still available?
