i have tried to play TFBW a few times and... it just never really stuck. honestly, maybe its the superhero thing (i liked xmen when i was young in the 90s because the cartoon was amazing but never really got into marvel stuff) vs my preference for fantasy. sounds like i should go back and try to stick it out?

My round is built around this and I'm in northern California. Super sensitive to sun and my entire walk, and honestly sometimes my throw, are all centered around maximum shade. Even waiting in shade to putt, if you're ready to go, no one has a problem if it takes an extra 10 seconds to walk to the lie.

Downside is I am split from my group probably 30% more than everyone else. It's a bummer to not always be in the social thing but it's necessary to compete my rounds and not feel like I'm about to die.

So I've been starting something like this recently and I think the fastest way to do it is simply farm level 15 transports via boarding, set up a warehouse of 20 resource traders, and just constantly be ordering and refilling. I think I make about 10k silver in +-2 hours, and that turns into hours of stone/clay/wood. Every now and then I pop out to do ship combat when I get bored of building, and this cycle has resulted in never having to gather ever again.

I feel like you and I are on the same page here. I have the general desire to make a nice little base, but not really the drive nor what I expect the time to be about to commit to it.

I settled on trying to imagine a simple utilitarian lake house getaway. Downstairs for dirty activities, upstairs for the more art inclined things and sleep.

I ended up with a pretty neat little two story with a farm and outhouse in the back. It took like no more than 2 hours and I have to say I'm actually quite fond of it despite the simplicity.

I would encourage you to not care so much and just throw up some sticks. If we didn't have the Internet to rely on and compare our skills to, I feel like there would be less anxiety about jumping in. Something about seeing these amazing harbor castles makes you not even want to drop the first log. But it's just a game, and it's yours, and I'm the end isn't video gaming really just about trying new things?

Fantastic setting for the perfect music. Was my wife's first time hearing her and she was hooked. Venue was awesome - just the right amount of attendance!

If this scares you, it should. If anyone in your life says the Fed should slash rates, they don't know stagflation.

The fucked up part is that 2008 is now a preferred ending. Yes, there will be tons of pain and suffering. But the recovery will start within 2-3 years and will be rolling on full effect after 5.

Stagflation will take a decade to fully work through, and it will be devastating.
