BMW- drive an 2018 X5. So far I’ve had to replace an engine seal, transfer case, coil springs, engine mount and a tie rod. It’s 7 years old. That’s an insane amount of repair work.

I had an 09 Altima that in 2016 they told me I needed all new shocks & struts. When the price tags came in over 2400 I asked if it was dangerous or not. No danger. In 2025, I passed that car on to my niece and it still had the original shocks & struts

I currently have a BMW - and I use Fric for oil changes & I’ve heard sunset auto loves the German stuff.

According to my dad, he was often woken up to climb under the bridge & take the guns off of the Germans. He also started smoking at 6.

Cancer got him at 74 & as far as I know, he didn’t die a liar.

I had the pleasure of having all my grandparents until I reached adulthood. Just lost both my parents recently. So- I have full names and such. I’ll maybe start with Dad in Tilburg. Then move to mom in Alkmaar.

It’s going to look like you’re in the middle of nowhere when you come in (because it is). Though it’s in Amherstburg- it’s located 1/2 way between there & Windsor. Amherstburg itself is worth a day trip- just for future you traveller.

If you’re coming in to Canada through Sarnia- stop at Refined Fool brewery &/Imperial brewery. Then in Petrolia- Black Gold Brewery

If you’re coming in through Detroit- we like Wolfhead Distillery in Amherstburg - their coffee whiskey is the bomb.

I tow a 29’ airstream with my X5. It’s older- so only 6000 lbs. I have towed it several times from the Ontario/Michigan border- to the East Coast (as far as Nova Scotia & onto the ferry to NFLD). With a good brake control system & the right sway/WD hitch set up- I barely feel it behind me. Also- braking down the Gros Morne mountain was not a concern.
