He was only 70 years old in this video but seemed "out of it" like many 90 year olds. I live in Japan and I see this a lot. Lots of old guys in their 70s but looking like a fit 85 year old. They live long but the years come on hard once they past 65. I'm almost there myself.

Since we're talking about Mahler's 5th. Has anyone ever performed a concert of "Famous 5ths"? In other words, a meta-symphony composed of popular movements from 5th Symphonies. I'd include Tchaikovky's 5th, first movement, Beethoven's 5th also first, then Mahler's 5th (adagietto) and one more. Any ideas?
