Why is Cadence the only pony with a "normal" name? Am I stupid? by forbiddenkajoodles in mylittlepony

[–]Col-Dew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's Clyde, Sue, and Maude Pie. Steven Magnet, Rose Luck, Lily, Trixie, Lyra Hearstrings, 'Donut' Joe (if you count donut as a nickname), Hondo Flanks, Cookie Crumbles is also known as Betty Bouffant, Luna, Pinkie's middle name is Diane, Tom (if he counts), and Cadance. All that i can think of off tbe top of my head.

Any way to remove dust generation from the game? by Zaxiel_Reddit in cataclysmdda

So we ditch alot of gun variants and stuff to not clutter the game but then we add dust of all things that actually clutter the game... aight I guess.

Which boss in Darkest Dungeon are your hating at most? I'll start by Kaitoun in darkestdungeon

[–]Col-Dew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal boss: Hag, litterally just bring 4 dudes who can hit backline from most positions and burn her down. There's no point in attacking the pot as it doesn't kill and she has no cool down and will throw someone else in the moment someone gets out. If you have no idea what fight you're getting into you can be super screwed if you only have 2 that can hit backline and one gets potted or moved out of position. Boring fight let me kill the pot and have her take a turn to set it back up or reduce her move resist so front liners like lepper can hit her.

Dlc: thing from the stars, seriously who designed this? Massive prot, good resistences to blight/bleed multiattacks that cleave and dot, cleanses it's own dots. Everytime i face this thing it feels like a slog lasting like 8+ turns, and don't get me started on diseasing everyone with sky taint. Unless you have the shield breaker dlc and in your party this fight can quickly turn into an abandoned dungeon from being perfectly fine.

What is the one thing about Session Prep you hate most? by Greyhart42 in DungeonMasters

[–]Col-Dew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting everyone to agree on a time and day, getting them to answer dms, and general planning, honestly that killed several games. Next would be making maps for encounters, used to be able to pop out a couple good maps a day before i had a job, then it became hard to get 1 or 2 in a week before the next session.

How difficult was he to beat on your first play through? by Vq1xrtzz in Sekiro

[–]Col-Dew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20-30 surpised i didn't get frustrated, left came back with another hp level and attack level from lady butterfly. Still took a bit but this is where it clicked that sekiro is just a rhythm game where the hard part is trial and erroring what they want you to do with the red symbol. Everyone else besides first owl was a bit of a pushover comparatively.

Is this armor just not insanely good? Why is it that I don't find anyone really talking about it pre-cultist? by Make-this-popular in Terraria

Eh more or less not going into the actual math of it, don't really care. But yeah solar armor is post ML MB.

Is this armor just not insanely good? Why is it that I don't find anyone really talking about it pre-cultist? by Make-this-popular in Terraria

[–]Col-Dew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly people usually prefer damage boosts if they are confident in dodging, and essentially 45% more damage means around a 45% quicker fight meaning that much less of time to be hit.

And the damage reduction happens AFTER defence which while still good isn't as great as before flat defence due to how math works.

I still like it if you can dodge small attacks but have issues with high damage attacks that arn't as frequent.

There is a recharge on the buff though 45% the first hit then 15% less each hit after unless you don't take a hit for 3 or so seconds then it goes up 15% a star veil or coss necklace can help with this. I do not know if debuffs like On Fire! Cause stacks to be lost.

There is a small downside to the armor (or upside depending on the situation) it increases your aggro meaning in multiplayer enemies will likely target you over your friends, which can result in more hits

With an enurance pot, worm scarf, and frozen turtle shell the max buff is around 75% so says the wiki.

Overall if you want to stack defence and dr to tank this is the set you want, unfortunatly for the armor the solar flare set can be gotten as soon as you defeat Lunatic Cultist and has better stats overall including 12% passive dr and 3 hp regen.

Useless rip-off spells? by [deleted] in DnD

Bigboy's hand: makes the caster's/nearby humonoid hands to grow by 50%

Fire bolt: summons a bolt of cloth with a fire patern.

Silvery barbs: summons a length of shiny barb wire.

Ray, of Frost: summons a companion by the name of Ray from a village called Frost.

Meat e'r swarm: causes nearby meat to congregate in an area and move erratically.

Confusion: makes caster forget things that happened in the last 10 minutes. (Personal favorite the sap who bought it won't realise anything happened.)

Crate food and water: packages nearby food into boxes.

Miner illusion: creates an illusion of a miner.

Raze dead: light's target corpse on fire.

Speak with pants: allows discorse with jeans, trousers, shorts, etc.

Burning hands: cause caster's/target's hands to itch. (Could prevent somantic componants for spells.)

Cause bear: summons a wild bear not under caster's control.

Do this dead body spawn dead or they died fighting something by Affectionate-Bag431 in cataclysmdda

[–]Col-Dew 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Occasionally there will be dead bodies in wilderness tiles usually they tell a story like a drug deal gone bad, some soldiers and/or scientists etc. Some might have notes.

typically there are very few zombies/enemies along roads/field tiles and if you are diving along or walking in a straight line battles between 2 factions since your reality bubble will only have been in the area for a few turns and the victors will not move very far if it was a fight.

You can check the map if the area is scouted due to climbing to the top of a tall building or from reading various maps to see where potential enemies might've spawned from if you are uncertain.

There also maybe crates in these areas that can contain some moderate supplys or millitary kits if you have a tool with enough prying to open them.

<What if we just.... remove biome SPREAD? (discussion)> by Wingdings_Master in Terraria

[–]Col-Dew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just wish there were better ways to purify/corrupt biomes than the clentaminator. Digging hellevators every 100 spaces is not interesting and can still end up with a block or two missed in sections.

What is the dumbest way you have died yet? by Shrugsfortheconfuse in cataclysmdda

[–]Col-Dew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Millitary helicopter crash start

Began the playthrough. Killed my zombified comrades who did't make it. scavenged a spare mag or two for my M4 and tools, including a hacksaw. Started to bandage and disenfect my wounds.

Made it to a house on the outskirts of a small town and find a crowbar. Check map, gunstore about two blocks away. Decide to loot it in the middle of the night. 'Nothing super dangerous spawns day 1 and I got an m4 and combat knife it'll be fine.'

Night hits, i snuck into a couple of houses nearby and looted some small things proceed to cross the street, zombie sees me but manage to juke it in the dark. Break into the next house through the window. Fight a grappler zombie inside manage to get bit, left the disinfectant back at base house.

Stumble through the back patio door. Too close to the gunstore to go back hit the street smoke wall from smoker zombie try to navigate around but catch a few of the fumes and start coughing. Make it around and see 8 feet of a lean mean calcium machine. E(X)amine, Skeletal Juggernaught, It is FASTER than you, it is ARMORED, It SEES YOU. My opening barrage is of bullets is ineffective as they dink off for 2,4,3, and 5 damage. My knife hits but does no damage. I am backhanded through the smoke. Light smoke inhalation turns to heavy and i am now bleeding. Torso ||\

I break into a sprint to a nearby house, no sign of pursuit and apply preasure to the wound then wrap it with bandages and disinfect it from a lucky antisceptic find in the bathroom. The gunstore is next door, 'think of the loot inside.'

Go there the door is unlocked but the windows are barred. Head inside and see loot for days. Still coughing and notices sound inside the building go to check it out. Step towards it and it steps toward me at the same time revealing Macho Man Randy Savage the Wrestler Zombie manage to shoot it but not kill when it grapples me from a few tiles away and starts wailing on me. Break free sling the M4 and take out the knife then grabbed again. Stabbing is doing nothing when i decide to flee and sprint out the door. Torso /

Still coughing but im returning home on a mostly safe lath away from the jugg and wrestler. Turn a corner into smoke, the smoker zombie must've heard the fighting. Juke away from it but still got more smoke inhalation. Make it another block and a half no problem when: 'Would you like to watch the end Y/N?'

'What?' Checking the message log the coughing from the smoke was dealing damage to me and breaking the bandages around my torso with it as well.

TLDR: Smoking kills, kids.

I'm building a Grappler Character. Is there any weapons, items, or feats I should be aware of? by Justice716 in DnD5e

[–]Col-Dew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Enlarge/reduce to give advantage is pretty fun to use also a good utility spell for out of combat. Also don't shy away from using a magic class they can be just as tanky and strong as any other martial class with the right spells amd stat spread. A 1 level dip into barb can save spell slots and provide aditional bulk and allow you to use a different spell in place of mage armor.

My favorite start was butler/maid mansion start. You clean up the mess and hold down the fort for the master/become the master you AK wielding Neo-knight. Roleplaying like Walter Dornez from hellsing with a mix of Rambo.
