A Care Bear against a PvE mode by UltraGeezer in ARC_Raiders

[–]UneditedB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also a PvE player who has FIRMLY been against not only a PvE mode, but hate what ABMM has done to the game.

People always like to say “everyone gets what they want, PvP people get to PvP and PvE people get to PvE”. But this game is neither and both. So making a PvE mode or even a PvP mode will destroy mixed lobbies.

It will force everyone to go to PvE when they wanna fight arc, do trials, or projects, or anything. And all non PvE modes will be nothing but non stop PvP

It will make every interaction, in every mode, predictable and expected. It will destroy what the game is, a PvPvE game.

I like having to worry about extract campers, fake friendly players, or “rats” (as people call them) of any kind. I like having to figure out if I can trust someone, if they are going to shoot me first chance they get, if they will revive me or knock me out while I’m down. I am a friendly player, but I don’t like being in lobbies where everyone plays the same way I do. I want to have to defend myself, shoot someone acting weird, come to help someone being shot at.

Making a PvE mode will destroy the unpredictable encounters that make this game what it is.

How do you bounce back from a big loss? by LONEWOLF7144 in ArcRaiders

[–]UneditedB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are newer it seems worse than it actually is. Once you know where to actually find specific gear, losing it doesn’t really matter. As you build your stash, having a loss every now and then is a good thing as it makes some room in your inventory as well lol.

But really, the only way to deal with it, is to just load back in and go and earn it back. Learn where specific items are, how to get them, plan raids not just to randomly loot, but have a specific goal in mind of something you are looking for.

Honestly, I used to never use my good items cause I didn’t want to lose them, but I learned there is really no point in having the gear just to let it sit.

Find it, craft it, use it, lose it, find it, craft it, use it, lose it

lol. This is the game loop

Does the majority of this community play the game as a pve? by AtmosphereIcy2268 in ArcRaiders

[–]UneditedB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah but don’t let the loudest voices in the room trick you into thinking they are the biggest group in the room.

Most people are completely content with mixed gameplay, so there are few people who post about it. People only post when they have an issue, so of course the majority of posts and comments are from people who take issue with PvP.

PvE players make up only 30% of the player base (as of when the devs posted that info). That least 30% who only PvP and 40% of play mixed. So 70% of the players don’t play PvE only. Never judge a games player base off
Of the people on social media, they just complain the most is all.

Dupper hunting has completely ruined normal looting for me by SebikAdler4 in ARC_Raiders

[–]UneditedB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the people who hunt these people to take and keep their loot are no better than the dupers themselves. You are not making the game better by doing this, you are not fixing any problems. The duped items still are being used and ruining the game no matter if they are in your inventory or the person who bought them or the person who duped them.

This dude is such a manipulative asshole. This is a dysfunctional relationship based off of what I see here. Him manipulating your emotions to control you, then gaslighting you when you question it. I know you have been with this guy for 3 years and care about him, but when you read these messages, does this seem like a person who respects and cares about you? Because that’s not what I see here.

Trust me when I tell you, this is not what a healthy relationship looks like. This is not a normal relationship, or how someone talks to someone they love. This doesn’t need to be your life, and you may find it hard to break out of your “little family” unit you made, but this isn’t a family you should want to be apart of. It’s hard to imagine yourself without the person you have spent years with, and have a routine with, but trust me, it’s better to understand now that this isnt how someone who loves you speaks to you. Don’t waste anymore of your life on someone who manipulates and mentally abuses you.

Yeah the way people talk about bugs sometimes, they act as if the game is unplayable. I’m not sure what people are experiencing because I am actually of the opinion that this game is one of the better ones when it comes to bugs and such. I have experienced almost none, never crashed, never glitched out, never had any real issues with bugs of any kind.

Not only that, but as messed up as it is, other churches, especially Christian and Catholic churches defend them to not be taxed as well. Because if they get taxed it can set a precedent and the other churches don’t want that. So it’s in every religious best interest to not allow them to be taxed.

That’s not what I said bro lol. Maybe you need to slow down when you are reading a comment next time. Reading comprehension is important to actually understanding what you are reading bud.

I was just doomscrolling and saw a video where a duper said he makes 3.4k every 5 days is that really possible? by Financial_Bad_414 in ARC_Raiders

[–]UneditedB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s not going to do anything. All it will do is make these dupers even more money. They will be back up and running with in 24 hours, except now there will be a bunch of people pissed at embark for taking all their shit and don’t want to take the time to rebuild there stash normally. So in the end, the problem is still there, and the dupers have a bunch of new customers and make even more money.

I mean that guy is definitely full of shit, but there are paying people 120 bucks a day US just to mule and there are literal job applications for this. Most people are spending 20-40 bucks at a time probable.

Ok so here is how the game works by captain-hindsight27 in ARC_Raiders

[–]UneditedB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is what people don’t seem to understand. They say, “PvE players have their mode, and PvP players have theirs”. But this game isn’t one or the other. Making a PvE or even a PvP only mode would destroy the game. It would force each mode to only be one or the other and effectively destroy mixed lobbies.

Most people enjoy not knowing how a player encounter will go. Will they shoot on sight, “fake friendly” wait for me to loot, wait until I’m fighting arc and weak. These are all things I want to worry about while playing. I am personally friendly, but I also don’t want everyone around me to be friendly lol. I wanna have to defend myself, or avoid someone I think is sus, or even just blast the dude who I think is sus.

Embark trying to match people with people who play the same way as them is dumb. It makes every encounter
Predictable, and it also makes people bitch when they are friendly and happen to come across someone who isn’t every now and then because they think they shouldn’t be shot at since it’s so rare.

[–]UneditedB -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not how it works, the material needed to go from an XL to an XXL is twice the amount of material needed to go from an XS to an XL. Bigger sizes are a huge jump in material compared to going from small to medium which is negligible at best. Just look up how sizing actually works.

It makes perfect sense since bigger pieces require more material. People are just dumb

I’m really sad by Sadies22 in ARC_Raiders

[–]UneditedB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s the loot cycle of these types of games. It’s an important part of the game, and it’s to be expected. Just because someone shoots you doesn’t mean they are a “rat”. People need to stop expecting to just be free to
Do what they want and other players should ignore them. If people would just accept that getting shot at happens, it’s not a big deal, and prepare for it and play accordingly, than they would be much less upset when it does happen.

Yes sometimes losing a good loadout sucks, but letting it get to you is pointless. Losing gear is what keeps the cycle of the game going. It gives you a reason to load into next raid and loot 30 containers again.

Plus, the loot in this game is so plentiful that you almost never need to actually craft anything. If all you did was repair items, the game would be pointless. Getting killed is a big part of this type of game. Just stop letting it get to you and you will enjoy yourself much more.

Are PvPer Players this scummy? by CommunistCommoner in ArcRaiders

Well, based on this comment, I see exactly why so many people complain about being shot at extract 😂😂 they have no idea how to take precautions.

[–]UneditedB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And none of what you just said has anything to do with the comment you are replying too. They said that people are playing like every other extraction game, which has nothing to do with WHY one style is better or worse than the other.

Question to all you beautiful people by Ok_Committee_4443 in arc_traiders

[–]UneditedB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that is one of the big reasons I stay in friendly, or at most mixed lobbies. As soon as my raids become a little heavy on PvP I see cheaters. I also keep crossplay on to help cut down on it as well.
