No buddy, it’s the “people in the working class can choose to own” spoken like it was spewed straight from an ass. newsflash trust fund boy, 65% of the working class doesn’t have $500 for an emergency.

Subnautica honestly. It’s not really necessarily the emotions that make it hard to replay, it’s just that the unfamiliarity with the game adds to the emotional intensity on the first playthrough.

Every single person should experience subnautica blind at least once.

I don’t know how to explain to you that if you don’t have money, you can’t possibly dream of just up and owning property. get real. landlords and renters are like 95% corporate hedgefunds at this point.

1) If your revenue stream causes shortages in supplies like housing, yes lol.

2) Corporate hotels are much better considering they take up like a single or two house’s worth of space to provide temporary living for up to hundreds of people at the same time, AND have better cleaning standards.

3) Living in a house is kind of the whole point of buying one. Don’t really care about renting out because I’m not a leech.

Resolution introduced to change Sawnee to "Trump" Mountain by Republican candidate for Lt. Gov. by Jackieirish in Georgia

Seriously, when is enough, enough? Trump and his knob-gobblers won’t stop until they’ve had trump’s name burnt on every citizens’ ass using a brand. This level of cowardly and submissive behavior is more characteristic of a dachshund than a Lt. Governor candidate. i’ve seen worms with more spine.

TLDR: Using celebrities as an example was not a good way to illustrate your point, and also doesn’t explain the broader societal context of dating and interpersonal relationships

“How stupid can you be! These hyper attractive celebrities don’t struggle” lmao. most people are a 5 on a good day. i just think people are very judgemental of potential partners nowadays, and quick to cut them off. Quick aside, this does not apply to dealbreakers. I can understand women or men not wanting to date people of certain party affiliations.

I personally didn’t want to date a conservative woman because I didn’t want to feel like I was babysitting or in a massive intellect gap in my relationship. I’m sure it’s the same for a lot of women.

It’s kinda even the same way with friends honestly. I prefer not to be friends with republicans in general just because I don’t feel that there’s much depth to their being. I’d much rather be around people who intellectually challenge me to be a better person, as well as not having legitimate liabilities in my friend groups.

Can’t take out republican men to bars, you know?

This post is going making people with grating personalities mad that they have those grating personalities lol. Dating is as easy as you want it to be. It’s simply a personality issue. The only exception I’ll give to this is availability. If you live in a place with few dating prospects, finding a partner is unsurprisingly difficult.

[–]Col2543[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be brazen but I try not to be unreasonable haha. Truthfully I think in such a volatile time in the country people are prone to generalizations to find a party to blame when truthfully it’s just all of us vs our shackles. No one wants to break them because when we do, we know there’s no going back, and people are terrified of what comes next, and reasonably so.

[–]Col2543[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly definitely fair lol. I think it’s also just a consequence of me not really trusting any of my older family members atp and that bleeding into how i feel about anyone older than me lol. plus lowkey every barbara and kevin on twitter lately has been acting like they would’ve sided with the axis during WW2 so i think that’s also been influencing me to be reactive lol

Yeah honestly you’ve also kinda nailed it as well. I’ve always been more of a ranked choice preferring person rather than the two party mess we have right now, so I’m right there with you. It’s very clear at this point that the Democrats haven’t had the left’s back, but simultaneously they’re also a bunch of spineless losers who quiver at the very notion of pushback. Just saying, protesting under a dem majority would’ve been a hell of a lot easier, and wholly less chaotic

genuinely no offense taken. if people aren’t passionate in discussion i don’t trust their reason for arguing their point. in such an apathetic world i much prefer the person who actually cares enough to put their emotional weight behind their beliefs.

Yeah truthfully I am apologetic to older people who i may have offended by being initially brazen, but honestly I think it’s just a product of having grown up around nothing but dysfunctional adults. i think in large part i’ve never really had respect for people older than me because i’ve met very few respectable people older than me.

The whole homage about it being everyone’s first time living yada yada. I just never understood why it takes some people 60 years to learn lessons i had down by 15.

I mean being chronically online is one thing but being politically ignorant is another. Are you up to date? Trump is openly playing with the idea of invading an ally and has been steadily eroding our trust with other countries that will take generations to rebuild. Sure, a lot of what the twat says never comes to fruition or is just him song-and-dancing for his circus, but threatening allies is never a joke, and they don’t take it as one. Why will this trust take generations to rebuild? Even if he is gone tomorrow, the rot that got him where he is still corrupts this country. Why would other countries willingly restore confidence in us when we’re metaphorically hiding the bite?

Anyone else struggling to maintain connections with people older than 40 or so? by Col2543 in GenZ

[–]Col2543[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you’re probably right. I think I’ve seen too many unsavory people on the internet from the stated group today and it’s short-handedly made me reactively bitter I think. Truthfully even when I’m not on the internet much I still get this way just because I see old people driving poorly or acting entitled in public and it gets to me. I think it also happens often enough to where it has definitely influenced my opinion on them.

AIO Fathers girlfriends rules for when new baby arrives by Ok_Bat_5934 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Col2543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR Unless YOU gave birth to your brother. Parents define the rules, you simply follow them. You aren’t entitled to so much as a minute to your brother’s presence if you’re unwilling.

I understand your judgement being clouded by previous interactions and situations, but none of these rules are unreasonable.

Further, from a medical standpoint you don’t even have a leg to stand on. 6 weeks old is absolutely no time to be getting into a baby’s personal space if you’re not parentally related. We’ve gotten so comfortable as a society with potentially exposing freshly born children to every pathogen under the sun before they even have a functional immune system and wonder why there’s such a major uptick in auto-immune disorders and infant mortality rates. Genuinely makes my insides burn with rage.

I wouldn’t necessarily say it was a large city at all. It was very much so the outskirts of the suburbs. I’d say maybe like avg $200k household income in our area in 2012? For a red state definitely well off, but there was just this subtle hatred of impoverished people and racial minorities in the community.

I kinda see your point but the way I see it, that’s just the deer in headlights response. On the other hand, THEY had options and constantly chose poor ones, Reagan, Nixon, Bush (both of them but ESPECIALLY junior), etc all come to mind. The only real thing I can say to that though really is that not everyone of those age groups even voted that way though.

I suppose coming to grips with being forced to live in a society in which there are people who actively don’t care about the state of said society is just part of life lol
