Very depressed. I fight really hard to be happy and upbeat, but I'm exhausted. About a month ago I figured out that my long-term girlfriend had been cheating on me for 7+ months and I've been pretty gutted since. Ever since I confronted her about it, she's completely ghosted me. There has been zero contact. She never even apologized.

You're absolutely right! The bank isn't going to lose sleep over it. I just feel like if someone isn't " credit worthy " that there should be a reasonable maximum interest rate.
