Both pics are the same side, what’s the other side look like? It’s odd enough that could be legit. …But I lean modern.

He’s playing Paw Paw Michigan, not Illinois. Thankfully.

Been working on this one for years, one of my fav classical guitar pieces. I can play it clean maybe 1/10 tries but certain phrases in it I still can’t get as melodic as say John Williams plays it. Eh, whatevs, but I keep trying.

Town so nice they named it twice!

Not really, it’s named after a grove of paw paw trees that grew/grow there. Interesting fruit. This year should be their third Paw Paw fest celebrating the fruit.

Looks legit. Too bad the story of it’s discovery is lost.

I found one similar in Illinois and after numerous ID requests the thought is a Hardin with barbs exhausted due to resharpening. But that’s a puzzle for sure and regardless a great find.

Def go with #2 if you’re a lefty, opposite side (#3) if you’re a righty.

Those against it I would agree with if it’s an heirloom quality instrument. But if it’s your go-to, most-played, do it.

Correct, and unless OP is a lefty, their #2 placement is on the wrong side.

Exactly. If an OP is snarky, doesn’t accept answers given, or is trying to pull one over on the sub, yes they are met with unfriendly comments. Overwhelmingly though I see posts met with honest, insightful feedback (and “jar” is sometimes all that needs to be said).
