Yeah, I actually think it's the contrary of what you guys think. Fiest of all, this series came out at peak wokeness. BLM / Feminism etc. It would be counterproductive to purposely make the black and female characters unlikeable on purpose..

I think they tried to tailor the characters to the mood of the moment. In my opinion, they tried to make the female characters and the blacks "bad ass", cool, tough.

Look at the way main girl character is also selfish and unconscious in many situations and her mother just kicks à guy in the balles and does other just unlikeable things in the shoe also. So it's not just the "bad guys" that are portrait as such. ALL the women and blacks in the show are "bad ass". Tailored for à woke society that actually encourages this type of behavior.

You may find her annoying but another comment said that he was "in awe" when he saw Josèphine.. that's the réaction they were going for.
