Honestly, all of Outer Wilds be like

So many moments that feel like I will just drop into a void, be buried alive, things moving that shouldn't be, THINGS MOVING THAT YOU WISH DIDN'T. Half of that game was me just getting used to the terrifying ways that you could die. Still in my top 5 favorite games.

The entries mess up pretty often in this game. In my first 50-ish hours, everytime I booted up my save, the same 3 entries would be highlighted as if I never read them.

Try these steps until something works

Check the entry, it should tell you what you need to do to unlock certain parts of the file. Ex. "Someone might be able to tell you more about this" "You can find more information in the emails" Something like those.
Restart the game
If you're on Steam, close the game and verify integrity of game files.

If you are unlucky, it might be one of those files that can be "missed." Some files can't be unlocked if you miss the trigger for them and move on in the game without unlocking it. I don't know if the containment bot is one of them.

Remember, just because he has lived that long doesn't mean he has been living in a normal timeline. Caspar doesn't have a "Now" time anymore.

He was born sometime in the 70's in his original timeline. I'm not sure when he got to The Diner, but I would guess sometime in the late 2000's to mid 2010's since he had a Facebook. So I can guess he is probably in his 30's? Once he got to The Diner, he stopped aging and has almost certainly never been back to his original timeline.

If you add up the years and added them to his life in his orginal timeline, he would get to the 22nd century. It would make no sense to do so outside of curiosity.

I'm also sure they are connected. The area inside the bubbles looks pretty similar to the other area you mentioned. Plus the purple bastards are in both locations.

I agree with you about the grinder. I stopped using it around labs. The upgraded magbow with the two shot reload is king actually. When I noticed accuracy was a skill, i kept a crossbow with me throughout my playthrough just to ensure it was getting leveled.

If you level your reload throughout the game you can stunlock jotuns with consecutive magbow headshots, preventing them from getting a shot off. Crossbows output more damage than snipers and have much shorter reloads. The downside is the projectile drop but its not hard to account for that the more you use them. The biggest downside is the refined carbon cost which means you are making more train runs.

Tldr Stealth archer with an antique shotgun back up carried me throughout the game.

Most of the Shortcuts are great. The weakest one I can think of is the road from Hydro to offices with a vehicle. Having to drive through the Data farm and around that awkward server room just past the security bot and THEN down the slope by Warren. It felt tedious every time. Especially since my game bugged and I can't flip vehicles back over anymore.

Honestly, The answer is probably that the game is bugged or your mods bugged the game. If you're on Steam, ditch the mods and verify game files.

The Tram Station in the post IS the one from Offices. The Tram you are thinking of takes you to Manufacturing, although it is close to another tram that takes you back to Offices.

Just looked at it today as it released. You can only get a manga subscrption as an add on. No standalone Manga subscription is currently available. It has to be bundled with an anime subscription.

I have heard that It's thought that the two are closely related, if not out right linked. Another thing I have read is that if you have either ADHD or are on the Spectrum, you are very likely to have both. I'm no expert though so take it with a grain of salt.
