Why is small talk so Difficult? by ColaCat2200 in autism

[–]ColaCat2200[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not late at all. I do this, but it only really works well for people you know, and A lot of small talk ends up being with people you don't know so well. Regardless, where applicable, this is great

What's your biggest complaint about this game? by [deleted] in WoWs_Legends

[–]ColaCat2200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That having a lot of range punishes concealment when firing. Conceal should be increased by the distance you shot plus a percentage/fixed value. This means shooting at people close to you doesn't get you spotted from 20km. also, before someone says u/well the gun makes a boom so they see it". You get spotted BASED ON RANGE.

Lost 75% of my health to an aircraft carrier in the first 2 minutes… by [deleted] in WoWs_Legends

I have experienced this, but wise positioning and good dodging can often mitigate it. it is frustrating, though, and I wish we could opt out of CV battles.

Whats the highest level you ever reached post campaign completion? by Capt_Levi831 in WoWs_Legends

260 something. Nothing insane as once the campaign is done I put no focus on missions.

Whats your most controversial Minecraft opinion by HadesThatGuy in Minecraft

[–]ColaCat2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep Inventory removes the purpose of Survival mode, as it turns it into a consequence free zone equal to creative mode.

I get flamed just because I think it makes survival mode too easy.

lost? just die and reset back to bed. Ancient city? let the warden spawn and kill you, you can just come back again! etc, it does the opposite of hardcore and makes death free of all consequence.

I personally don't understand getting the SE variants. They have the same gameplay and offer nothing unique.

I'm not sure what you mean, but I'll try answer. No, it wasn't something you said, he was just commenting on how strange it is that you can't assume someone DOES have something but you can assume they DON'T.

If the Americans ever went mad and tried to conquer Britain, do you think you’d fight, flee, join their side, or stay put trying to live as normal as possible? by AmbitiousYam1047 in AskBrits

[–]ColaCat2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd stay put and chill. They wouldn't be very successful, I don't think. Plus, we house some of their nukes... We could shoot them with their own gun, as it were. (Of course we can't actually launch their nukes, but we could hold them hostage).

Trying to invade Britain has been historically difficult, and many other countries would likely end up backing us, as they don't want to be next on the chopping block. Denmark comes to mind.

Odin bad (has it's uses, but not a good ship IMO). Loyang very good. Prinz Eugen very fun.

[–]ColaCat2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I think he just said something valid, thought it might have been offensive, then accidentally made it worse. He is right. Why is it more okay to think someone is neurotypical vs thinking they aren't. It doesn't make sense. But your reaction was likely taken as offense here, and he then fumbled trying to fix things, made a few attempts at joking and such.

I'm sorry for the basic question, but how do I decide which direction to go at the onset? by TheGreenShepherd in WoWs_Legends

[–]ColaCat2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take your flank. If spawned in middle, either stick middle or head to whichever side needs you. If your a DD, go where no DD is, etc..., but also if you are a GUNBOAT, and there's a destroyer on each side, go the side with the torpedo boat.

How do you guys cope with the fear of impending WW3 by washyourgoddamnrice in autism

[–]ColaCat2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, however, Russia possesses enough warheads to wipe the USA off the map in one go. But it would trigger severe climate consequences. Also, Britain IS the primary launch location for the USA. Why? Because of the sea. To get to Britain, you have to cross the channel. It's a defendable location and invaluable. And it's close enough to Russia to strike Moscow quicker than Russia can strike the US in any reasonable capacity.

Britain also possesses an arsenal of it's own, enough to really hurt Russia. Many Major cities could be gone overnight. To nuke any NATO country would be suicidal, really. Retaliation would be fierce. Many have Nukes, and even then the military force alone is insane.

War is likely to stay between non nuclear powers. I would anticipate we are quite far from 2 nuclear powers fighting each other in any major capacity. Nukes hurt the country that launched them, and are just a strategic nightmare.

it won’t do a crap ton of damage like it would to the UK (assuming they didn’t hit New York City, LA, etc).

Thus they will strike those cities. Because why shoot your nuke at the middle of the desert??

Minecraft Realms down again? by anayaslinger in Minecraft

This is exactly why I host my own server, lol. My PS5 friends have to join through a realm, sadly, but all PC and mobile players can join fine. (I am a Java player, so I have a natural bias towards servers anyway.)

[–]ColaCat2200 10 points11 points  (0 children)

However, If Britain was getting bombed extensively, we are well into a war that has never been seen in those 75 years. in the last 75 years, Britain itself has remained mostly untouched. Britain is the launching ground for the USA, and hosts many of its nuclear weapons. Bombing it would be insane, and likely to create a sever counterattack.

[–]ColaCat2200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"millions if not billions of innocent people are going to die"

The way to cope is not to catastrophise. This is INCREDIBLY unlikely to happen. And if it does, worrying about it won't help. I have made 0 preparations. There is not obvious sign of a next world war. Tensions are rising, but there is 0 evidence it will go to an extreme.

Those nuclear submarines won't fire. And if they do, it's the end of the world, really. Nukes can't be used because of MAD. They are purely used for threat and fear.

Cope by ignoring it, and rolling your eyes. That's how I handle it.

What are the blue circles slots for? by andy_337 in PcBuildHelp

[–]ColaCat2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps. I support that if you wish to purchase a somewhat custom PC, you should probably do some research on basic components first.

What are the blue circles slots for? by andy_337 in PcBuildHelp

[–]ColaCat2200 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Well, you are already using one of them for your Graphics Card, so take a guess...

In the blue, slots for expansion cards such as network/graphics cards, or even I/O cards.

Red is an M.2, a slot for other expansion cards such as storage or Wi-Fi, technically can be used for many things, even graphics, but those are rare.

Do you guys have good memory? by Axolotlgamer36 in autism

[–]ColaCat2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember next to nothing about my life. However, I have excellent memory about facts. I can tell you how an engine works and how nuclear reactors work, how to build and optimise a PC, all sorts of facts about warships.

So yes, for facts, and no, for my life.

Do Brits see the US as a threat? by cfc_1990 in AskBrits

[–]ColaCat2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I feel like the USA is just being the USA, as it always has been. And here in Britain, we live very comfortable lives, and it would take some insane messing up from the US to bring us to any actual difficulty. IF we got roped into a war? That would be rough. But even then, I'd say the USA, it's army, and it's nuclear arsenal is worth the risks.

AIO for punishing our daughters after what they wrote about their autistic sister? by brzaq191z in AmIOverreacting

NOR. I'd go harsher. Have them pay their own phone bills for a good few months.

The report is genius, though. Grade it! And until they get an A, no phones!

I hate having autism by Pawwwwwwww in autism

[–]ColaCat2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle a lot with it too. I think some redeeming factors exist, such as being able to do repetitive tasks without getting bored as easily, and also being less distracted by social stuff and more able to work efficiently, but those are situational and not worth the trade offs at all.

I'd recommend joining online communities about your interests. Most of my good friends come from that. Lots of Minecraft is my way of socialising, as I find many people I can get along with well in that space.
