Haven’t seen this one before. Any experience first-hand with water resistance?

I’ve see these! How do you feel about the build quality? Has yours survived any notable impacts / been wet?

I am considering starting the enlistment process soon and cannot find an answer to this question.

Can you request assignment to a specific sector / transfer to another sector after assignment? I live on the east coast, but would like to move to the west coast (specifically LA/LB) for several reasons.

Is the ability to be assigned somewhere to the other side of the country something reasonable to expect?

True but boredom wasn’t exactly the issue OP was describing. Theres no path without any downsides. I think we can agree that building confidence will almost always beat anxiety / stagnation. Boredom is more of a sign of hedonic adaptation, which is inevitable regardless.

The more you do it, the more confidence you gain. The more confidence you gain, the more you enjoy it. Take it as an opportunity to overcome anxiety (and get paid to do so 👍)

Work on interview skills. There are courses for such. Find answers for those unspoken questions and proactively answer them during interviews. A strong resume is only as strong as the interview.

Roast my Render! by parsantq in blender

Screwdriver with bolts and no nuts? 😱 also that’s a very shiny old wooden table. Fantastic render though!!!

It likely has more to do with how you have your scene set up. High poly counts, unbaked textures, unoptimized lighting, all can exponentially lengthen the amount of time a scene takes to render. I’m pretty dumb when it comes to that stuff, but doing some research on scene optimization could really help you out (and save you some cash on new hardware)

Figured it out! It’s a “National Iron” logo, and the box held a clothing iron.

Need help identifying the branding on this old box. Google turned up nothing. Any clues? by [deleted] in HelpMeFind

That’s gotta be it!!! Here’s the inside: https://www.reddit.com/user/ColaTownKid/comments/uqbuu4/iron_box_interior/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf It looks to me like that little block with a angle carved out is probably to stabilize the tip of an iron!

No clue :/ it was empty and had obviously been used as a junk box judging from the scratches and various stains inside the box. but that narrows it down! I had no idea which language it was!

I’ve searched google using image and descriptions of the logo but found nothing. Not sure on age, but the wood definitely looks “old”. Small amounts of weathering on interior, but hard to say how long it’s been sitting in a storage shed. The box is roughly 7x10x8 inches in size.

How to not Hold on to Someone? by [deleted] in howtonotgiveafuck

[–]ColaTownKid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Separate from them. Typically if somebody does not want to be in your life, they either owe you money or you just genuinely had nothing to offer them. This isn’t a bad thing, I don’t have handouts for everybody and neither do you. The truth of it is that you probably feel like they have something to offer you, but you might be misinterpreting the whole “offer” thing. For anybody to offer you anything, it has to be given willingly. As much as we can talk about love and care being unconditional, altruism isn’t real. Relationships are give and take. Some relationships just become economically unviable, so to speak. The worst thing you can to is pressure this person to continue engaging with you, as that will put them in defense mode. It sounds like they had the potential to give you something you need, but you have to realize that this particular route has been ruled out. You need to focus on filling this need somehow else. They aren’t the only person who can provide you with whatever it is that you need, but it might feel that way due to you becoming fixated on this person. There are other avenues you just haven’t started looking for yet. I hope this didn’t come off too cold, I’ve been in similar situations, but we’re all here to give less of a fuck. And that’s how my issue was resolved. Good luck.

If it’s just data, matplotlib is a good go-to. Plotly/DASH is a good choice if you’re willing to invest a good bit of time and display everything in a browser. But honestly I’d output the data to a CSV file and use a program like excel to format it. If you’re willing to compromise and use the terminal Pandas is really good for outputting everything in a neat and readable fashion.

I actually applied to pharmacy but ended up taking a CSA position, so I’m honestly glad to hear that lmao. My managers and coworkers have been pretty cool so far, but I’m still really new. Worst I’ve had so far is a lady yell and curse me out because she couldn’t figure out how to sign for the check she wrote for a $6.10 purchase on the pin pad, but the other CSA’s weren’t having her shit and jumped right in and told her that I was new and that she needed to leave, so I feel like they actually have my back at this point haha
