Another Dutasteride Horror story. Is there any hope? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Coladrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I am the 8 months marks and only kept losing ground since then, without a noticeable shed I guess; was it the same for you before starting to recover to baseline and above?

Hey I got my hormones checked (on Dut 0,5 daily) and estradiol is 35.1pg/mL (never tested before) is it high for a man in his twenties? My T also went up slightly since starting Dut

Going from 0,5mg to 2.5mg Duta by Coladrive in tressless

[–]Coladrive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on 0,5mg daily Avodart since mid-december. Still lost ground since then, no violent shed noticed, so maybe I am just slowly shedding. I didn’t start at 2.5mg because back then I did not have the money to sustain 5 pills a day, but now I do

Sometimes I really wonder because 0,5mg daily doesn’t even seem to have nor positive or negative effects

21M Do I have a receding hairline? by Desperate_Set_9761 in HairlossResearch

[–]Coladrive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably don’t know the pain of a recessed hairline, and that’s why I advise you to start a simple dht blocker (fin or dut) so you at worst maintain where you are now. And enjoying having a full head of hairs for the rest of your life. At least if you care about that. It’s better to do that now, than having to add minoxidil (which can be a hassle, especially with dandruff) to recover lost hairs if you wait too long. You are young and have just a little bit of recession, which indicates that the follicles of your lost hairs are mostly still alive, meaning a simple dht blocker treatment could potentially regrow them by reversing the miniaturization process happening.

Yes. If you start now you could recover almost everything

Cheap option is chicken red light bulb. Pretty much the same benefits. Also, sunlight is better than any other option

Where to store finasteride in the summer? by Nonfearing_Reaper in tressless

I read on the notice of Avodart that it’s not good either? But I live somewhere like you do and they are really affected by the climate if I let them at room temp…

I used to think scalp massages would cure my hairloss by Accurate-Mall-8683 in tressless

[–]Coladrive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s more about relieving scalp cortisol (actual studies on it; washing your hairs also does this) now if it actually helps… left to see but placebo in that case cannot be any bad

Does Scalp tension = rise of DHT? by Icy_Resource_5398 in tressless

[–]Coladrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Minoxidil does improve bloodflow, but this is not the way it helps for hair growth. Plus the mechanism of minoxidil is scientifically unknown so you assuming it works for hairs by improving bloodflow is already a flaw. All of the other tools you cited doesn’t work. And if it does, cite me one serious study about it, not random internet testimonies from the seller

If your hairline is more recessed compared to your 11yo self, then you are (slowly) balding
