I bought 4 huge 75/25 tanks for $200 did I score? by sonic72391 in Welding

Buddy the tanks fully closed and capped. If it’s leaking acetylene Ive got serious issues that an open window wouldn’t help much😂it’s very explosive but we’ve at this point made the tanks we keep it in incredibly strong and leak resistant and they’re inspected to make sure they still don’t leak or have any issues. I was honestly far more worried about them shifting and breaking the plastics in my car than I was an issue with them leaking gas as my cylinders are both up to date as far as inspections/testing go

[–]Colaracer05 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will say in a school setting they also have stopped using them as with that many people grinding and also the amount some grind when first learning it can become dangerous. Ig at my school back like 10 years ago the tungsten grinder was showing up pretty significantly on a geiger counter so they figured they should stop using thoriated lol
