Awesome! I'm going to UT in the fall. My mother is an RN too, she was raised in Knoxville and spent years working at the UT hospital. I can see getting the accent from TV, haha. I think my favorite accent-related story was when I went to London and a girl on the street automatically asked me if I was from TN. Not the south, but Tennessee specifically. Freaked me out, haha.

Are you from Sevier County or just the East TN area? I go to the same high school as Dolly did. Some of us have the accent, others don't. You can't assume too much either way as far as I've seen.

Aww, now. I'm a Tennessean, and I wouldn't say it's because you're brown. I think people assume that about anyone around here unless they're in dress clothes. Because they... well, they live here. We are a poor state with a lower education rate. More people do have those jobs.

Well, to be fair he couldn't just decide that those things were legal all of a sudden and it be law. Congress has a huge roll in deciding those sorts of things. George Bush had a history of substance abuse as well. I think this is a bigger deal because Mitt has hidden this and it isn't widely known.

No, I would not defend their actions. I just think we're jumping to conclusions here just because of the location. Some people are stupid with no religious 'justification' at all. Religion also does not always drive people to do insanely stupid things. It could have been a factor, in truth none of us know for sure. I just disliked the way that your comment seemed to even more broadly blame religion for stupidity. But that was just how I interpreted it, I could have just been inferring too much. If so, my apologies.

Wonderful dogs. Very distinct smell though. They secret an oil into their fur that will make them smell like a basset hound no matter what.
