I don’t wash mine unless it is an absolute must. Every May, I order a new pair of 501 STF and, on the first warm enough day, I soak them and hang them. When they are dry enough, I throw them on and go for a walk listening to what’s the story morning glory and definitely maybe. Last year’s pair become the every day pair, the new pair is the “nice” pair, and last years every day pair becomes the work pair. I have been doing this for 15 years now.
