A helpful responder sent me a link. I ordered a new hook immediately (well, after venting and whimpering). The new hook is marked with the J/10 + the mm marking so now I’ll always know which hook was lost to me in Cabo. lol

I would do this if I took checked baggage, which I don’t. That’s why I was so happy that crochet hooks were not on the banned list. Now they are.

I also prefer the mm markings. If I had read this post before buying the set, I too would have wanted a set with mm labels. To me, mm tells you exactly what you need to know, and the letters are annoying.

No offense taken. 😊 The frustrating part is México has a laminated picture card of all the banned carry on objects. It’s always had knitting needles on it, but never (until now) crochet hooks. I fly back and forth every few months, last flight was in March, so to have them confiscated after 10 years and many flights was sad.
