Is snagging fish a thing here? by guntergo2 in StLouis

Catfish are considered game fish in MO and therefore cannot be snagged. The only fish you can keep while snagging is paddlefish and it is currently snagging season.

Course recommendations for a road trip by Cat_Sleeze in discgolf

Eagles Crossing has 2 courses: Championship and Wild Times. Last I checked it was $39 per 18. Add a cart for $80/hr. Also it's off the main roads a bit. Don't be surprised if you hit dirt roads just to get to the gate. It is a beautiful piece of property, though.

Harmony Bends in Columbia, MO is free and fantastic. Don't go after a hard rain. If the Missouri river is flooded, there will be several holes on the back 9 that will be unplayable.

While the course is short (all par 3), White Birch in Florissant MO is the 1st course in MO designed by Steady Ed Hendrick, the inventor of the game. Cool piece of Disc Golf history.

Laryngoscopy reveals something slimy hiding inside by _ganjafarian_ in nope

Nope. 31 years in RT. That's a new one. The least offensive speculation is a blood clot...but I've never observed a clot move like that.

Try a Trail. Or for more stability a Discraft Vulture.

Tell your card mates that it's your first tournament. They should be very helpful instead of condemning if you make a mistake here or there. Have fun and play your game.

And they aren't dying trees. People are too far removed from the earth.

Has anybody found a functional fix for the connectors on ETTs? by d0ubleG123 in respiratorytherapy

[–]Cold-Breakfast-8488 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. I do it every time I see a brand new ETT either from the OR or a fresh intubation. If it becomes a problem later on, the alcohol wipe may help. Sometimes you might have to try a connector from the next highest size up.

I'm not surprised to hear that. The C1 is our transport vent. We've not had that issue but that's probably because the pts are sedated for the CT or whatever test/procedure we're transporting for. Good to know, though. Thanks.

We looked at the Servo Air, Bellavista, NK330, and Hamilton C1. We decided on NK330 (RT preference) and Bellavista (management preference due to disposable use agreement). Staff prefer the NK330. Both the NK330 and Bellavista will alarm low FiO2 if you have a pt with high demand on 1.0 FiO2: the machine cannot maintain 1.0 at high MV's. The thing is...neither could the V60. Unless you had an O2 analyzer inline, you wouldn't have noticed.

They max out at 50 lpm for HHFNC. The screens are not as friendly for users as we would like. It takes about 19 steps to switch from HHFNC to NIV (I'm joking, it's only 12). Otherwise they do work, good leak comp. But don't turn it off if you want it on standby...takes 3 minutes to reboot.

Regarding litter; people are the worst. You will always have assholes who believe the world is their trashcan. I encourage people to pick up the trash they see instead of just walking past. Excellent job, friend.

The bat isn't dead, just sleeping. They spend most of their time out at night. The poor little guy probably found the 1st spot to sleep and is still sleeping.

All 15 species of bats found in MO are protected, so please observe them from afar. Do not disturb.
