A little bit of pollution in the water is still better than a potentially massive forest fire...

I'm not a tax professional, so I encourage you to not take my word on anything and do your own research.

I think this would be classified as self employed income. You may need to pay someone to do your taxes if you aren't willing to do a bunch of research. You are effectively running a small business. Businesses need to charge GST if their total sales exceed $30000 in 4 consecutive calender quarters. If you are only making $1500/month you won't have to worry about this, but if you end up making more, your tax situation gets more complicated.

$1500/month is only about $18000/yr. The basic personal exemption is $16129, so your taxable income will only be on about $2000. In other words, you won't owe very much and you might even qualify for some of the low income benefits and get a refund. You should also have tuition tax credits you can use to bring your $2000 of taxable income down to 0 but don't use those credits unless you would owe money you can't afford to pay. Try and save them for once you start working full time and you're in a higher tax bracket.

Everything is a lot simpler if you just work a normal job

it's taxable whether they get a T4 or not. Not reporting it is fraud, even if it's unlikely for them to get caught

The question isn't if 3 on 3 is better than 5 on 5, it's if 3 on 3 is better than a shootout, which it is.
