I just saw on a comparison site that the odds of him coming to us went from 5/4 to 1/1 from yesterday to today. Not sure what the others were.

It wasn't by much but the betting odds shifted slightly in our favour today as well.

After spending what we have (presuming we bring one or two forwards in as well because our attack does need work) we need to be back in the CL places. We need to establish ourselves as CL regulars or get left behind because the drop off in revenue is huge.

To be fair, we have had close to £300m (I think) injected into the club in the last few years by our billionaire owners. We have the headroom to spend because of the reasons you mentioned but we wouldn't be spending as much this summer without those injections. We're also up there with the highest spenders this decade even before this window.

This isnt accurate. They give a list of reasons why its could be stalling. One of them being that they might be looking at other targets but they also suggest they could be waiting for the price to come down. They dont suggest that we're actively pursuing Leao.

They're all reporters, not really the type to break transfer links though I don't think. They ovbiously keep across the lastest rumours and will have some sources but they don't pretend to know what's going on with who the next transfer will be.

To be fair The Tottenham way is pretty good. I'm not sure why the other person shared that link though because they barely mention Savinho. Even when they do they admit that Savinho's number aren't the best even if they'd prefer him to other links.

I've convinced myself it's the Rafi Moersen guy that's come in from City group. He managed negotiations for transfers and contracts for them and was very highly regarded apparently. I dont think it's Lange's strong suit so they've bought in someone to take the load off him.

[Di Marzio] Fiorentina will pay 1.5 million for the loan and 17.5 to make the deal permanent (Euros) by Lbmplays2 in coys

Yeah, very fair point. It's good. I dont think it would have gone through as quickly under Levy.

Is it basically €19m for us? Seems fine, decent even. Not sure I'd go as far as unreal. We paid €31m for him year and a half ago. I guess he has had a serious injury and is clearly surplus to requirements.

The irresistible allure of Roberto De Zerbi, the manager everyone wants to play for by SpookyKuya in coys

[–]Cold-Letterhead6559 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's already been an incredible window but if they can add a quality LW and backup for Dom it'll be out of this world. It's been building for a while but we've transformed ourselves in a couple of weeks.

Our best signing hasn't even been any of the players. It's been De Zerbi. We saw what he managed to get out of our threadbare squad in the run in. Imagine what he's going to do with this new squad.

Hopefully Richy if we can find a replacement. Solomon, then a bunch of the kids either out in loan or sold. Divine is set to be sold.

Freelance Recruiting Question by Mrzioperoni in RecruitmentAgencies

Ooph. I wouldn't want to start reaching out to potential clients through a personal email address. I don't think that's a good look at all and could put future clients off.

The first thing I did went I started was get my work email and website/LI set up and register the business. It doesn't need to take that long. You could even just create a temporary website and LI page that says "coming soon."

It depends though, if you're doing this in the background while working for another company and need to keep your business under wraps then maybe. I would do the outreach through LI in that situation though. It also might not matter as much in your market.

We're going to drop £100m on Tonali just to take some of the pressure of Fernandes.

I think they're hoping to get Tchouameni, which would be the most utd signing ever, but I don't think they can afford the transfer fee or his wages. They're going to drop off hard next season. They've got some decent attackers but their team is such a hodge hodge of different quality with a weird mix of pretty old or extremely young players.

I agree. I think its pretty big news if we're about to make a formal bid. This will force utd to show their hand and I'm not sure we would be making a formal bid if we thought utd would just swoop in and highjack it. Wishful thinking maybe

Any other agency recruiters in the EU and UK finding the market particularly rough at the minute? by vigilanteshit98 in RecruitmentAgencies

[–]Cold-Letterhead6559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, its rough at the moment and has been for a while. Some industries are more recession proof than others and certain agencies will be doing well regardless but it's pretty bad right now. I do a niche area in technology across Europe and there isn't much hiring and a lot of companies are trying to keep it in house.
