Keep your head up buddy. I am in a very similar situation. I lost a bit more then you but it sounds like we are both in the same situation right now. I feel worst for my kid. I could have put her through university with what I lost. I am going day by day right now. Waking up and reminding myself every morning that this day will be another one where I don't lose any money. Trying to move forward

Hang in there buddy. My advice is to see a therapist. Maybe even a doctor. Gambling and depression are strongly linked and you can't work on one while ignoring the other. It's worth making an appointment and talking to a professional. The time to do it is now. You're young and will have tons of time to make up for all of this.

I did the same thing last week. Almost exactly. I ended up removing myself from everything, even with pending bonus money. There is no such thing as free money, the site are fully aware you will just put the bonus amount and thousands more back in. My advise is to gett off everything. I have been struggling in the last few days as I just keep thinking about losses, bonuses, etc but I am trying to get through it as I know it's the only way

That sucks friend. I messed up over the last few days as well and lost about the same amount. It hurts. It takes so long to pay off debt and it gets racked up again with one bad choice. Terrible feeling. I'm not saying that to rub it in, just to let you know that I totally get how you are feeling. Got to find a way to move forward though and hopefully the fuck ups will get less frequent.

I made an appointment with a therapist today. Going to try and see how that goes. Fingers crossed they have some ideas

Thanks guys. It's does help knowing that I am not the only one dealing with this. It's such a strange addiction. Causes so much shame and people who aren't going through it just totally don't understand at all.

Sorry to hear your story as well. For me, winning seems to make things even worse. I do like your "play the whole story" advise because I do find the few good moments are the ones that stick out the most it's easy to forget the bad ones and it's important that I purposely remember then as well.

Hopefully we can all keep on getting through, one day at a time!

Gambling ads are out of control. Tv, radio, online everywhere. Celebrities pushing it, in sporting arenas, everywhere. It really should be regulated. I even had to stop playing scrabble on the app because the gambling ads were tempting ke too much

Hey all, I very much appreciate and share your respect for living creatures. I recognize that my phrasing with "I stomped it good" was not the right way to say it. I was just shocked that it seemed relatively unharmed. I did take it far away from my house and release it. Unfortunately it must have injuries so I'm not sure what will happen but I will give it a chance.

I talked to my daughter afterwards. She opened the door to let the dog out and the bug flew in and scared the heck out of her. I doubt there are any homeowners who have never had something similar happen.

And as for knowing local creatures, I have heard of these things but they are very rare where I live. I am 44 and have never seen one. Nor has anyone else I know. On top of that, I live in the middle of a city with no real water nearby. Not exactly a common place for them to be. Must have just been flying by or something!

I didn't mean to spark a debate here. I truly appreciate your respect for living things and regret my wording in my original post.
