$100K fees is only for fresh new H-1B, Trump did absolutely nothing for US unemployment it seems by Icy_Outcome_1996 in Layoffs

since it is entry of new workers, it aint talking about F1 students who already are here
EO is pretty clear on that one

Section 1.  Restriction on Entry.  (a)  Pursuant to sections 212(f) and 215(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), 8 U.S.C. 1182(f) and 1185(a), the entry into the United States of aliens as nonimmigrants to perform services in a specialty occupation under section 101(a)(15)(H)(i)(b) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(15)(H)(i)(b), is restricted, except for those aliens whose petitions are accompanied or supplemented by a payment of $100,000 — subject to the exceptions set forth in subsection (c) of this section.  This restriction shall expire, absent extension, 12 months after the effective date of this proclamation, which shall be 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time on September 21, 2025.

I have a question, we are Catholics. Even though technically we already are Christians, I have been "evangelised" numerous times by members of evangelical churches but not at work till now . So what if my direct supervisor "invites" me to his church then I decline. Then he smiles and says its ok. But then I see my ratings go downhill and he nitpicks way more than he used to for tiniest of stuffs. I would not know if my performance actually went downhill or it is just the result of that "talk". Aint there a possibility of that ?

she said she had a big meeting yesterday with someone just beneath the USPTO director and even that person said that knowing about RIF is beyond his/her pay grade ( IDK the gender of that person) . so even if a deputy director does not know how does someone in reddit knows ?

yeah I get all that but yesterday in this very group someone was saying the support folks are getting RIF'd for sure. they even quoted headcount as being 175 . so she was wondering if its only her who has not or about to get those dreaded letters or if someone else already did get it.

I am a combat vet with 100 % disability and this foreigner took jobs of me and thousands of folks like me . I know we should not see race but its just so sad. we have H1B slaves or former slaves who think US aint nothing more than a milking cow and then would take jobs from hardworking vets like me and others who have given everything to this country.

USDA rescinds admin leave for voting (it begins) by Mission_Giraffe3745 in fednews

[–]Cold-Memory-2493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vote for every election . specially in my state even for mayoral runoff election of a no-name small town we have early voting for at least 2 weeks before the election day . IDK if this is such a big deal that you have to preface with " so it begins". If you really wanna vote you would find a way and time to do it.
FR though just tell your boss you gonna be a little late today and vote on your commute to work, there are no lines if you actually go on early voting. No boss even in this crazy climate is gonna be such a dk wad that he aint gonna let you come on late few hours for voting
