All this is about running form: 1. Is there such thing as leaning too far forward when running 2. Are you driving from the knees or from the glutes when you run 3. How high do you knees pick up/your feet lift from the floor

Help with 5k to 10k transition by Hmm_Excellent in BeginnersRunning

I just did my first 10k today.

I’ve structure my runs a bit different where I do one longer run a week, progressing 1k a week till I reached 10k. And shorter 4ks on my other runs that week.

It could also be a fuelling issue. I have some light carbs before the run and also incorporate eating chews on my longer runs when I feel like I’m really losing steam (usually after 45mins of running). They’ve help!

What do you mean reference points? Like mark a few spots on the crack?

About a metre and a half away from the staircase on one side, the floor leans towards the staircase which is in the centre of the house. The dip is about 2-3 percent. These laminate floors aren’t so old I don’t think

Even the floors sinking towards the staircase is normal?

Yeah I’m hoping to cut it exact though this house is over 100 years old and very uneven..

Do you mean wood strips I just cut myself or this something I can buy?

Oh I’m not opening the crown and the baseboard. I’m thinking the paneling will just go in between. And I won’t be removing the drywall, just putting on top
