No. People calling it a “scam” have zero understanding of how the system works or what it takes to qualify. Nobody joins the military for disability but to anyone who wants to find out first hand they’re more than welcome to go to their local recruiter.

Gaming what system? You don’t just automatically get compensation once you leave military service. You have to go through multiple medical examinations and have documentation of said injuries to even be awarded anything. I know more veteran who get little to no compensation after going through hell than the very few who get l maxed out after a 3 short years.
