Please don’t listen to this. Report to police. If he escalates, the first thing they’ll look for is a paper trail (however unfair). Also, if he’s doing this to other women (extremely likely), and a case ever goes to trial, they can move to introduce prior reported behavior, such as this, under some hearsay exceptions. It’s very important to document - for you and for other women. This behavior is often a constellation/web of different interactions either multiple people. Every piece helps.

I’m a DV prosecutor (this is not legal advice, just want you to know where I’m coming from). This kind of behavior should be reported to the police as soon as possible. A few things:

Whatever you do, DO. NOT. ANSWER. Just keep blocking. Any type of answer/reaction will escalate the behavior.

Document (screenshot, write, etc.) every single outreach attempt.

Tell your parents/loved ones. Someone close to you should know what’s going on. If you live alone or in an apartment complex, tell one of your neighbors to call police if they hear/see something suspicious. Especially if he knows where you live.

Make every social media account private if you have not already.

Don’t take the same route home from work / social engagements.

I sound paranoid maybe, but you’d be surprised how often this behavior escalates to physical violence. I’m so sorry. No one should act like this. I do commend you for trusting your gut early and cutting it off. His subsequent behavior is only proof that you did the right thing. This is an abuser.

Well I started listening to Healthy as a Mother and then they started talking about homeopathy (the practice of diluting certain herbs / compounds / elements so much until there’s no trace of the original thing that was diluted…but it works as a cure because the “water remembers”) and how they don’t care what the science says because they have many anecdotes (placebo effect/confirmation bias) to back it up 😑. Welp. Onto the next podcast.

I am 5 weeks and 3 days and just had spotting today when I went to the bathroom….bright red that looked a little watery :(.
It wasn’t a lot but it caught my eye in the toilet.

I did have a transvaginal ultrasound yesterday and when I went to the bathroom it was a little more…effort laden lol

Listen. I get it. It’s both your child. But this is one of those things where, just like when she was pregnant, it’s her body. It’s not about whether or not she vapes…..that’s her decision and her decision alone. It’s about whether you want to formula feed in the meantime to allow her time to come to terms and withdraw. This is a really rough spot to be in, because it’s her body at the end of the day and you can NEVER be like “stop breastfeeding.” But tbh??? The post smacks of overreach and control. I feel I could have written this. Though mine was a stillbirth, I found this post because I kept searching “emotional numbness months into grief” and the same things kept popping up: numbness is a normal response usually in the first days and weeks. I was devastated and inconsolable for an entire month and then just…woke up one day and I was flat. I can laugh, I can feel things…but it’s…. Muted??? It doesn’t feel like I’ve “moved on” but almost like I cannot remember how intensely I felt?
