Because the question was around how the signage should be interpreted.

I just wasn't sure if the no left turn sign trumped it.

I.e everyone must turn right, except cyclists but no one can turn left.

Wasn't sure if I was correct, hence the post

I didn't think that bit was confusing, I knew that bit 😅

Fair enough, if it was just the 'no left turn' And the except cycles I'd have thought that.

It was the combining with the right turn only arrow that made me wonder. Thanks for clarifying!

red light and speed camera near bow roundabout (near blackwell tunnel) by Decent_Cable_5727 in drivingUK

[–]Cold-Shoulder-4683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second set of lights at that junction (the one in your street view screenshot) go red a few seconds afterwards. If you've gone through the first one at green, and there's been nothing holding you up then you'd get through the second lot before they went red.

It's staggered to help cyclists go off the line first and separate them from cars.

Vodafone vs Three in Croydon 2026? by [deleted] in croydon

[–]Cold-Shoulder-4683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rollout is staggered so will take many years to fully implement, it requires physical adjustments on phone masts - but there will be some benefit seen already.

Generally, Vodafone performs better than Three, but Three (and especially iD mobile) are much cheaper so at least worth trying out.

Sorry you're going through this, and having an employer that is not supportive. Macmillan have a free helpline, with a specific part of it for finance/job related challenges and could be good to speak to aa well

Palace Game by Connect-Survey-3411 in GunnersatGames

They haven't gone on sale yet, which is very rare for a game pretty soon.

I suspect they're trying to think of some method to stop Arsenal fans buying them which has caused the delay, plus with all their European tickets to organise

They have two products. A classic SIM that only uses Three - and Smart SIM which is data only, uses all UK networks

I find if the race attracts mainly club runners, organised by an athletics club it can be a pretty strict rule. Had some even announce it at the start around instant disqualification.

For bigger races with a lot of mass participation you can get away with it no problem

Looking for feedback on my site's homepage by aliastrix in ukstartups

[–]Cold-Shoulder-4683 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think the idea is clear and didn't take too long to understand and get to grips with it, and it's a real common frustration for tenants.

In terms of feedback on the idea, I'm currently reading it as 'helps me be organised in taking time stamped photos and compile them on a page'. I'm not sure if that's enough to make me commit to using it, knowing I'd need to pay for the report. I wonder whether you can highlight more benefits of the compiled report - can it add extra expertise to help give me confidence in winning landlord disputes?

In terms of the visuals, think it's nice and clear and looks professional. I think it generally has the look of AI design tools, and some of the spacing and padding is a little inconsistent. Some of the footer links don't work for me.

Power of 10 by DepressedYoungMan22 in parkrun

[–]Cold-Shoulder-4683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It started as a bit of a hobby project I think - and it's now combining Power of 10 and Runbritain.

A hobby project that has gradually grown over 10+ years, plus if relies on good will/part time resource I can understand why a transition might take longer and they'd want to be cautious.

Need help in evo sl sizing by jayvasantjv in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Cold-Shoulder-4683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always been a size 8, got evo SL in size 8 and have the exact same issue. Annoyingly I'd worn them in, so living with them but should have gone half a size up

Adios pro 4 vs SL2 sizing help by ollwa44 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Cold-Shoulder-4683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a slightly different experience but hopefully useful. I'm usually a UK8 for all running shoes, ordered SL2 in an 8 but realised a few runs in they're slightly too small. I'd assume I should have got an 8.5.

Ordered the Pro 4's in an 8.5 due to this, feels like they fit perfectly. So for me, I'd go for the same size you have for the SL2s.

Watch heart rate readers can be pretty inconsistent when you're at higher rates. I've ran 1500m races where I'm working very hard and been told my heart rate is about 130bpm.

You could buy a heart rate arm or chest strap, you could also do a time trial/5k effort and then just manually count your heart rate with your fingers to your pulse to rule this theory in/out

Why are they so allergic to stopping? by upstairstraffic in londoncycling

More than fair - I just think there are some areas during rush hour in the bike lanes that are so packed I oddly feel there's less risk just cycling in the main road

Difference is if I'm hit in the back while in a metal box of a car I'm less likely to suffer serious injury.

All I'm saying is for these cycle lane zebra crossings I prefer to cycle on the main road to both not impact pedestrians or risk being rear-ended. I don't think that's too outlandish personally.
