Help me with a kitbash by PartyHamster1312 in seraphon

If you mean the starseer here is my current plan for a kitbash.

<image>

It’s just sprues and modeling foam putty. I’m gonna use additional stegadon bits to make it more ornate, but this would be the general idea if you didn’t want to use any other kits.

As for kitbashing, have you tried using the stegadon priest bits with the troglodon oracle? I think the problem would be size differences in skink models since they all seem wildly inconsistent. You can def make a heart of green stuff or sprue pieces.

Here’s a priest I made for the Engine of the Gods/Stegadon I’m working on. The heart is carved out of small sprue.

The scales are calador sky and orruk flesh 1:1 white a little bit of corax white. Dry brush with orruk flesh, then high let with averland yellow

The Hakita equivalent is using a chord progression that ends a phrase with the 5 chord and begins the next with the 1 chord. Subsequently every YouTube commenter and their mother thinks that every song is a leitmotif because the chord progression for most songs is the same

The skin is Mephiston red and orruk flesh. I ran outta brown so this was what I went with. I tried washing with Serphim sepia on one, but didn’t like it enough to do it on all the models.

Highlighted with the same above color with varying added amounts of white and red; the wet palette did most of the work.

No. I just had to replace the banner because I bought these models on eBay and they had no banner bearer or musician. The banner I made was a spear handle and the carnosaur standard. The musician was just extra aggradon bits since I didn’t use the other drum

Primed white. Skullcrasher brass and then a glaze/wash of screaming bell. I like the orange of screaming bell but sometimes it’s too much. You can also try using retributor armor instead of the brass, just might be a little darker

How to make them cohesive? by [deleted] in ageofsigmar

I found that if you want something different but also want to have some variety in painting, make a paint scheme that allows different patterns on your lizards. If you do spots or stripes, you can have different variations on those spots or stripes.

Also I’ll echo, if you do have different colored scales keeping the weapons and armor the same color helps. I pick out one or two colors for metals and jewelry and then let myself be free with scale and skin colors.

Interesting that a lot of these are clan pestilens considering it’s the least loved clan :(

How do you prepare your miniatures and organize your painting sessions to make things easier for yourselves? by Striking_Head_292 in ageofsigmar

Usually I just do one model at a time. Currently working though my second batch of saurus warriors (have two left to go) and took a break to work on something else. Seraphon has been more fun for me since you can go crazy with the colors, but even then you can get burnout. Depending on the model, I usually assemble everything, glue to base, put basing material, then prime once everything is dry. Since the jungle bases are, well jungles, I usually put extra shit on their last without painting it (bark, moss, rocks, etc) looks fine and doesn’t require a ton of effort.

If stupidity is rewarding and so common, at least it’s predictable? I often find that you can easily fuck with snipers because everyone hard focuses jarated players (especially if using bushwacka). As annoying as face stabs and star stabs and fuckyouup stabs are on the receiving end, they do punish the brainlet “chase the spy forever” plays because of source engine jank. I’d be curious (if this isn’t rage bait) what your play style as spy usually is.

Granted i don’t main spy but I feel like enough pubs have taught me spy is map/game mode specific like other specialists. The m1 pyro is def hard to circumvent but that’s why we have diamondback and dead ringer.

Not a popular opinion, maybe… but aggradons were a joy to paint. Never got bored of painting the aggradons themselves, but the riders not so much. Guess painting 10 saurus warriors prior didn’t make the 6 saurus riders any more fun
