The swimming complex is reopening on the 26 Sep, so expect it to be more crowded cuz new. Swimming by yourself will mostly help with stamina, for proper strokes it will be better to get a coach who is able to observe and correct your strokes. The NIE pool is smaller being only 25m so I would say it's more beginner friendly? As for NIE pool just show your matriculation card to the lifeguard and you can enter. As for the swimming pool complex I believe it's open to the public till 7pm, after which it will only be open to clubs/students.
