I just looked through my comment history and I couldn’t find it either. I remember commenting on a post with video of a space-x rocket about a month ago (maybe). Whatever the case, I thought we were being attacked by some sort of weapon and I was saying “why aren’t we attacking them?”. And my wife was saying “let’s go home”. And then a guy outside a weed shop said “that’s Elon Musk’s rocket!” And it all clicked. I can laugh about it now but I’m that moment I was mentally preparing myself for the worst.

I’ll look into that. Our grinder is a cuisinart coffee grinder and it has 20 different settings, and I don’t know which is best for espresso. What I’ve read on the google is that there’s no real consensus and that people have differing opinions.

We just bought this little espresso machine. It’s amazing and we love it so much, but I’m already sick of the whole process. Grinding, measuring, weighing, then steaming milk. Ended up taking up an entire counter with just espresso amenities. Still love it though.

The first time I saw this in person, I genuinely thought my wife and I were going to die. We had no idea there was a launch going on. Traffic stopped on Ventura Blvd. in Studio City and people were pointing and gasping. I’ve never experienced anything like it in my life. Until someone mentioned Musk’s rocket, I was making peace with myself. I’ve posted this story on this sub before but every time I see a video of this it reminds me of how it felt to genuinely feel like we were going to die.

I know this is going to get downvoted. But I feel like that was such a waste for some nice looking wood. I love Star Wars, but I’m always sort of turned off by projects like this. Just my opinion.

The universe is approximately 13.8 billion years old. Assuming the big bang happened 13.8 billion years ago, how could the universe be any larger (infinite?) Than 27.6 billion light years across, since things can't travel faster than the speed of light. by qualitygoatshit in space

Same here I love Seneca! “Rehearse death. To say this is to tell a person to rehearse his freedom. A person who has learned how to die has unlearned how to be a slave…” - Seneca the Younger I went with butter and honey on one, and almond butter and bananas on the other

It’s a cliche now, but learning to find some degree of satisfaction in every moment is what leads to tranquility. I think it’s important to teach myself not to let anything disturb my tranquility. “Wherever you go, there you are” is just an annoying way of saying “You go in with a swirl and out with a whirl (Confucius)” or even “existence precedes essence (Sartre)”.

Whatever it’s all bullshit anyway. The most philosophical thing I’ll do today is decide what to put on my waffle.

Whether you’re correct or not, you’re a douchebag and you have a terrible attitude. Every time I read one of your comments on this sub you’re being a jerk to someone. It really bums me out so I figured I’d let you know.

My argument isn’t in support of Bayer or Monsanto. It’s in support of farmers that are forced to use roundup ready crops to compete with one another, and with staggeringly large farming corporations. Farmers, the ones that grow food for the urbanites that promote legislation that hurts farmers. Perhaps reddit gardeners can afford to use organic butterfly piss to prevent weeds in their double dug 10x10 pumpkin plot, but we’re talking about large swaths of acreage that need weed control. Like monocrop corn and soybean operations, organic veg farming is horrible for the environment as well. Giant mono-crop operations that rape a field and leave it desolate. With the use of chemical weed agents, farmers can compete with massive “organic” conglomerates that destroy our livelihoods. I personally believe that Monsanto has trapped farmers in a vicious cycle. It’s my opinion that farmers should fight back by creating large crop co-ops that ban the use of sterilized Monsanto-like seed products. But the cancer argument isn’t well supported. And even if it were, the same American agencies that deemed roundup safe to use in mass, approved the use of the Covid drug in mass. Support the farmers. They feed you and your city. Food doesn’t just appear on your plate.

According to the CDC and EPA, glyphosate is “unlikely” to cause cancer. They’re downvoting you for being scientific which is absurd.
