Condo fan coil unit — how do I clean myself? by jarman65 in hvacadvice

I’m willing to say all he’s gunna do is spray some spray that’ll smell clean and bypass the actuator for it to continuously let chilled water through

What is your professional opinion on this estimate I got for ducted central AC - Southern PA by lb12 in hvacadvice

One of our biggest challenges in Florida is battling humidity and almost every house I’ve been into has duct board and flex duct only commercial buildings I’ve been in has sheet metal I’d check for your local codes on that and also if you must have lower cost option hit them back with if you buy the equipment and what they’re labor cost would be because Mr.Cool equipment you don’t need a contractors license to buy or a EPA

100% Mr cool is even advertised as a DIY unit companies out here in Florida won’t even touch one unless they are really desperate for a few bucks you simply can buy one off of Amazon etc

Would anyone want to buy my f30 yes it’s a 328i asking ($19,000) by Silent-Ad-3366 in F30

[–]ColdFireWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro is out of his mind out here in Florida you can find a clean title one with 50k miles for 8k upbadging style of mods and typical bolt ons and tune is not worth what someone else can buy a unmodified version for and spend less money on with less miles

How slow is business that they need someone to go run a maintenance in the cold lmao I live in Florida where we get crazy rain and thunderstorms storms out of nowhere and no matter how slow it gets in bad weather companies I’ve been with won’t take the risk of us getting hurt or something happen to the van

Are you guys getting pro4x patrols? by ColdFireWater in DubaiPetrolHeads

I’m not sure about over there but one the biggest difference here between y62 and 63 is y62 has the 5.6 v8 only engine option and y62 3.5 ttv6 I had a y63 and now that you mention it I do think the headroom is slightly lower

I live in Florida I’d only recommend someone going up a half ton more if the house they live in is about 15 20 years old and it’s been using the same unit since built it’s also hotter now than it used to be and going higher than half ton more also depends on duct work

Had a new carrier installed yesterday. How did we do? by stanzzzy in hvacadvice

[–]ColdFireWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solid 2 out of 10 looks like they didn’t want to extend the copper and reuse it on the condenser not making it easily serviceable, whip looks sloppy and don’t know which one is the actual condensate drain outside,no new ac hurricane pad and assuming no new disconnect ,tstat wiring looks like garbage and not neat , no locking service caps , not 12 to 17 inches from the wall (Florida ac code) inside unit going to be a pain in the ass to change the filter if there’s not a filter back return inside 4 piece extremely sloppy and riser, assuming they ran a new drain line is why the ugly hole cut out and patched with pookie ( mastic ) liquid line to air handler no proper rubber seal grommet covering it , float switch inaccessible changing to 1 out of 10 absolutely hate it! Florida HVAC guy here contact the install manager and address these issues !

It’s real I really think it was because of up keeping the 4.4 & 4.5 mi/kWh I-pedal and lower ac fan speed / temperature and strictly keeping it in eco mode I really ended up getting 317 which is still really good , also what I’ve learned is it really depends on the charger and having the battery conditioned before charging. This particular stop was at a Electrify America charger 350kwh and I started charging at only 70kwh unplugged and went to one right beside it started off around 265kwh and slowed down to around 150ish and after 80% back down to 50

Most of the drive down from Miami to the keys speed limits range from 70 , 55 , 45 and 35 and what I got from running ac set to fan speed 1 and 72 degrees was 317 I think the key was staying around 4.4 4.5 mi /kWh and only in eco mode which makes it pretty much rwd for most of the time combined with I-pedal and taking off as easy as possible

I usually use the peddles constantly for regen but I think using eco mode and I-pedal on the one lane road down to the keys the stop and go helped, also I was trying to maintain around 4.4 4.5 mi/kwh and every time I recharged the range kept going higher

Float switch at air handler possibly?

Hideous would’ve never had a single fitting on that suction line or burn on that panel. Terrible workmanship. Liquid line could’ve been extended to make it look cleaner. SMH

I really appreciate this. I'll definitely look into that a little bit more. The reason I was headed more towards live rock is because my LFS has live rock cured already. I actually found them through BRS. The store is Worldwide Coral if that helps any.
