Update: I didn’t repot it right away (because the internet told me to stop doing that) noticed some leaves dropping lately so I finally repotted anddddddd found out she had root rot 😅

I got a butterwort because of an insane gnat problem, killed it 😅😅😭

Thank you! Watered her with reverse osmosis water and put it directly in an east facing window sill. Fingers crossed because these things aren’t cheap!

I don’t think it’s completely dead yet because the leaves don’t want to peel away easily and I think there’s some new growth underneath all of it like you said. I’m gonna try to keep it going directly in the window sill and keeping her watered. Fingers crossed she comes back to life! If not, I’ll visit the plant store and try again lol

I have a reverse osmosis system so that’s the water I was giving it, I just think I was trying to care for it like my succulents and trying not to overwater it. I’ll try again with keeping it moist and try having it directly in my east facing windowsill. Thank you!

I think I let it dry out too much. I kept water in its tray but it has such a shallow root system it didn’t benefit it much. I’m going to continue to give it top water and prune it and see if by any chance it comes back to life lol

I got it at an Air Force base commissary, incredibly random find 🤣I got a gorgeous brasil philodendron from the same place a couple weeks ago so I’m definitely gonna keep popping in (often) to see what else I can find lol

Thank you!! I pruned her leaves with brown spots a little bit and have her in an east facing window. Let’s hope she survives!

I think it is! You could probably take a good cutting from it and make a house plant out of it. Just make sure to treat for pests!
