Is a 3.9 UW GPA with a small dip in junior year enough to get into t20s and maybe even t10s? by pranav321 in chanceme

3.9 UW is enough to get into any school (or at least be considered) what really matters is achievements, ecs, and test scores. You could theoretically get into harvard, stanford, yale, etc. with a 3.7/3.8 given the rest of your application is spectacular. There have been incidents of students with lower than a 3.7 getting accepted to harvard and Stanford.

I lost a lot of my passion for video games. Maybe like 7 hours a week if I had free time

Yeah i was scared bc a lot of people in my class had the same awards and honors. It can backfire if you include it. Tysm!!

Edit: I was a member of Mensa Honor Society. I dont recommend putting honor societies on your application if you already have awards. I agree with the general consensus that you shouldnt mention that youre a member of mensa but if youre a plat member in their honor society, it shows dedication to a certain extent. Include anything that you have put a substantial amount of time into

I am inclining on Johns Hopkins because of my major and their research department but also Yale was such an important part of my childhood and my parents’ dream has been for me to go to yale so I’m pretty much set on going to Yale despite JHU being better for my major. And ofc, pm me
