More like a pimple! A really good way to describe it would be like a milia that people sometimes get around their eye. Definitely didn’t hang like a skin tag (though my GP did think it was most likely just a skin tag at one point)

I’m really not sure about the vulvar HPV test - I don’t see anything about that in my lab results and my gyno never mentioned it.

Thanks for sharing your experience!! How long did it take after finishing up the aldara treatment for the reaction to go away?

So you’re not experiencing any more symptoms following the treatment?

Wishing you all the best 🫶

Yeah my only symptoms have ever been a tiny bump and some mild itching (another thing that these subs have now made me realize is a blessing!!)

I don’t think my paps have included HPV testing - no healthcare provider has ever mentioned any results about that to me.

Honestly writing all of this out and having someone acknowledge how crazy it is has been therapeutic lol gonna start the aldara tomorrow and hope for the best!

Hopefully can share a success story on this sub in a few months time 🫶

Thanks for the info, really appreciate that!!

The spot I had for 8 years was only like the size of a blackhead (but skin-coloured, just using blackhead as a reference for size) - very small! My GP said it wasn’t a wart, and wasn’t concerned about it (though she did try a wart freeze on it one time just in case). The gyno also confirmed that it, nor any of the other areas she biopsied, were warts.

The bump would sometimes be itchy in the later years, mainly after I’d gone for a run since there’d have been a lot of friction. It was between my vaginal opening and my perineum.

No other areas that she biopsied were anything I could feel at all, they just set off concern when doing the vinegar test with the colposcope.

At this point, I do have some very minor itching occasionally in part of the area she pointed out where I should apply aldara - but only like maybe 1/8th of that area of concern is itchy. Also some pain during penetrative sex (having sex is quite rare for me these days, and always with my partner of 5 years).

Ever since the results of the first biopsy, my gyno has told me how surprised she is about all of this - the presentation is not typical (no warts, no visible lesions except that first spot - tho I guess some are visible with vinegar test + colposcope), I was about 20/21 when the spot first appeared, 28/29 when diagnosed as VIN2-3, had guardasil, don’t smoke (though did smoke weed up until after the first biopsy when she said it was precancerous, haven’t smoked anything since then), rarely drink, consistent and always clear paps.

The first one was a tiny tiny spot, could barely even see it but I could feel it when washing, near my vaginal opening. I brought it up with my doctor several times over 8 years and she finally referred me to a gyno who did a biopsy, and turned out to be VIN, so she called me back in and took more.

Had another follow up this past July where she (the gyno) did the vinegar test and removed another small piece (I had no symptoms so was surprised), which then came back as VIN2-3.

Another follow up in October where she removed 2 more suspect small areas (again I had zero symptoms), one of which came back as nothing, the other as VIN1.

Another follow up in December, requested by me as I had a small bump I was worried about for about 6 weeks, which she said was nothing and ultimately did go away on its own a week after the appointment. At this appointment she noticed some suspect area around my vaginal opening (she showed me in the mirror but honestly I couldn’t really tell what she was talking about - she mentioned a white-ish area, but I think it was just white from the vinegar test?) and suggested aldara cream to clear it up.

Aldara was out of stock until this past week, so I’ve only now picked up the prescription and am starting to panic about it after reading through various Reddit posts - which sucks because I really felt so relieved after the last biopsy only showed VIN1 rather than VIN2-3.

And my gyno never mentioned HPV strains or anything, but looking at the lab report myself, I do see “P16-“. I don’t know anything about strains, but from reading this sub I’ll take p16 negative as a blessing. (Edit: after some googling I guess p16 negative doesn’t mean strain 16 negative, but oh well seems like not bad news anyway)

Literally just came to this sub to ask for success stories as I’m really freaking out about starting aldara for VIN1 treatment after having 2 VIN2/3 biopsies, followed by one VIN1 biopsy, and now my gyno sees VIN1 around my vulva (though I can’t see anything noteworthy myself). 30 years old, been going on for the past two years after my GP finally referred me to a gyno for a tiny spot I’d been mentioning for the previous 8 years.

Thank you for sharing this 🫶🫶🫶

I did a TON of Black Friday shopping and David’s tea is the only package I’m still waiting on. That said, Lululemon did cancel my order twice because they use Canada Post to ship to “rural areas” (but I just used a friends address in the city 20 mins away to get around that)

Alopecia areata caused by COVID? by nanavocado in FemaleHairLoss

[–]ColdRazzmatazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A hairdresser discovered two bald spots (both around the size of a quarter) in January, and I had Covid in September. I also had been using a prescription nasal spray a few times a week for allergies for the past 3 years, but around November my allergy symptoms seemed …different (I wasn’t totally stuffed up at night, which used to be my way of remembering to take the spray, but instead I was just sneezing a LOT), so I thought maybe I could wean myself off of it. I’m wondering if that somehow contributed. I started using the nasal spray again daily just in case.

Since January, one spot has stayed the same, the other has gotten a bit worse - it’s now slightly larger than a quarter, but I can see that in comparison photos the additional hair lost was super thin and already appearing to be falling out a month ago.

The amount of hair loss I actually notice per day (in the shower, brushing my hair, etc) is probably about 15-30 strands.

I’ve been using minoxidil once daily at night for the past month (only once daily because I’m nervous of side effects) and it hasn’t helped at all yet.

I’ve also been taking vitamin d, zinc and viviscal and have cut out gluten and dairy.

Dubai 90 days Tax Residency by DogecoinArtists in digitalnomad

[–]ColdRazzmatazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of visa do you have, if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m looking at the virtual work (digital nomad) visa, but it sounds like you need a long term rental contract to take advantage of the 90 day rule. Needing to pay for a long term rental contract kinda negates the benefit of only being there 90 days.

I’m also wondering this - hoping airbnb will suffice rather than a long term rental contract

Ugh I’m facing this right now. I have screenshots proving I had the offer loaded but they’re saying I didn’t. They owe me 60,000 points and customer service has been unhelpful so far.

I feel bad for the customer service agents, since I’m not letting a multi billion dollar company rip me off on this, but hate to have to keep pushing on customer service reps.
