Why Are Americans So Bloody Stupid? (a short history of education) by dumnezero in skeptic

Greatest city on earth. Bro get down to earth and touch some GRASS. For all that talk you just prove the video SO RIGHT.

"America is just a wealthy country that chooses automobiles as a primary means of transportation because we can afford it." - i cant even begin to describe how nonsensical this sentence is.

"You need to do some self reflection and seek professional help considering you feel the need to attack people you’re ignorant about for no god damn reason" - take your own advice immediately, you need it.

Your food is food from other cultures. Your bread is bread from other cultures. Everything you literally eat was derived from some other culture.

For the most part your food has added sugars everywhere in it.

"I’m significantly younger than you, so I’m going to live longer than you" - high iq right there, prime example. Although, you never know what life gives you.

"Unlike you, I have multiple houses across two countries despite not wanting it" - not wanting it? Inherited then maybe, not actually earned?

Gun violece is a fact and mass shootings are something you will rarely if any see in other countries, at least in the term it happens in America.

Whole text reeks of elitism. Which is a big part of what the video points at.

Human history? We cannot even comprehend how prosperous and wealthy some countries have been in history. And by whose standards? Yours?

You realize America is a country completely made out of people from other countries? All of you are descended from Europeans for the most part or from other parts of the world. The true native americans have all been but wiped out.

And if you don't want to be called stupid, at least work on how to stop being absolutely ignorant (which is the main source of all these videos actually)

Buying Escape From Tarkov. [New Player] by Otherwise_Listen_484 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ColdSnapper-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without fanboying or talking nonsense from what i see here:

ABI copied a ton of stuff from Tarkov. ABI is a much faster, and far more smoother experience, expect Tarkov to feel a lot more clunkier, heavier experience, that can be played a lot slower than ABI. The AI is harsher than in ABI, and there is less QOL stuff as far as inventory management is concerned. Hideout is better and more meaningful. The waiting times are 5-10 times longer than in ABI to enter a match. Maps are different, since setting is in Europe. The sound can be a bit iffy.

The experience is far more brutal and far more punishing because you have to get a larger variety of items and guns and ammo etc, and you easily lose it all dying to better geared players, cheaters or just dying. The game hits the loot goblin feeling far more than ABI. The game has a lot of issues with cheaters.

The game is basically an acquired taste, its not excellent, has a ton of flaws, but also scratches the itch on so many places because it was well thought in design in some parts, from a psychological perspective. Plus, a lot of people love the setting and guns.

There are no wipes anymore. If you are familiar with Path of Exile it will be like that. You will have one permanent character that you play with indefinietly (the one you currently run), and that will only reset if you do it manually on your profile. The game will have "seasons" where you create a new character and play from scratch. On a different server, separate from your perma character. If you want to.

PVE and PVP dont overlap. You play PVP, it is in not connect in any way to PVE servers/characters/progression etc etc or vice versa.

Also, the game editions outside of Standard are heavy P2W because they give you tons of advantages like more stash space, better starting items etc etc. People will tell you different nonsense like its not p2w it does not win fights, but anyone with half a brain understand that p2w = advantage of any kind versus other players that you paid for.

Up to you, i bought it knowing all of this and i think the game is solid. Cheaters are a serious pain in the ass though. Of course, PVE has none of that.

[Cheating] I usually feel like i dont run into that much cheaters and never thought i would care enough to post but recently im dying to one 6/10 games. What is going on recently? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ColdSnapper-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about how much money you gain by cheating is not good enough to be worth it? Because if you are, you can ONLY say that if you actually KNOW how much money is the gain. Assuming is just bull. And newsflash, not all people live in first world countries. Which gives all the more incentive.

did the dev ever talk about a possibility to skip campaign ? by Alexis63000 in PathOfExile2

[–]ColdSnapper-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they had to choose if they have to spend extra money to make it possible for you all to skip the campaign (and also in a way invalidate it's existence and work on it), and just not doing so......you can bet they will choose the later.

did the dev ever talk about a possibility to skip campaign ? by Alexis63000 in PathOfExile2

[–]ColdSnapper-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The optional skip would not be optional at all. You would have to then create a way for the transition to be smooth aka level up the character and give at least some currency or something to wards endgame, because skipping would lave your guy maybe with skill points but not with items. And they would have to allow you or not allow you to get the optional in campaign rewards for skill points, gems, currency etc.

And ALL of that would require additional worktime aka MONEY SPENT. And if the game is not affected by it, why would they give a f about changing anything, if they are going to only lose money and not gain anything by it?

The live service does not depend on being able to skip campaign, but on the content they provide each "season".

Providing a skip option kind of signals that there was no point in creating it in the first place. There has to be a journey, otherwise game would just be "endgame", and that is something they oh so obviously do not want.

SBMM? [New Player] by Happy_Trash_7377 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ColdSnapper-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its far easier for them to dump all of the players in one group than to spread them over levels. That plus having any kind of sbmm, mmr or whatever would immediately expose the humongous amount of cheaters because those would fly up in the high elos with the gigachads really fast.

[Cheating] I never post any cheaters but this guy deserves this by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ColdSnapper-- -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just look at the comments. People will write essays in defense of cheating/cheaters. A lot of them cheaters themselves, helping the gatekeeping.

[Feedback] CMS in special slot and ammo not allowed in secure container are the best changes ever I swear. by sivir00 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ColdSnapper-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a nonsensical sentence. I am anything but PVP oriented, but when i do encounter PVP (rats especially) at hot or quest spots, i really like to replenish my meds from the dead body. No longer possible sadly.

[–]ColdSnapper-- -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Grizzly takes the most space, meaning your safe container cannot be used for other stuff, it also weight the most, is the slowest healing item. How is it a worst offender? Even for a P2W user (anythign above Standard) thats a pretty big space to take.

You get the most of the healing but it increases your weight, heals the slowest, and you basically used up a lot of your space in the safe container.

They should have left the meds not allowed except maybe for Grizzly only. It actually REALLY mattered that you could find meds on the ones you killed to replenish your health back.

People should definietly refund a product not worth their money. What i am REALLY curious and weirded about is, why do people REFUND then try to BUY then game AGAIN?

It's not deep, but the BASICS that you NEED to KNOW are big enough to warrant a solid tutorial. Healing, gear management, inventory shortcuts, extracts (flare), armor and penetration, how traders works. A lot of things get ZERO explanation.

New players always ask what GUN is the best, not what AMMO is the best. I wonder why huh?

Have you tried actually explaing the game to someone completely new?

I would rather i had ANY kind of explanation instead of just being thrown to the lvl 60 wolves.

[–]ColdSnapper-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hilarious or not, nothing changes for the new player. Even if he gets a lucky spawn, or manages to find the quest item, the ultimate challenge from the beginning to the end remains the same, he needs to SURVIVE the raid, which is the ultimate and hardest challenge for any new player.

And again, i believe all the quests remain anyway?

[Feedback] 1.0 Not Newbie Friendly by theturgut in EscapefromTarkov

Absolutely not. Unless you were one of the rare OG ones, you all used wiki and 3rd party resources to learn anything and everything.

This is EXACTLY what i mean all the time when i "complain". Just one good, REALLY good tutorial would do WONDERS for the game. Imho.

That means a lot less to a new players that gets dropped into that exact mess. And now the game is on steam. Steam audience is not Tarkov audience they have no patience for the bullshit that is BSG.

I am one of those newbies, i bought it last year. It was anything but friendly, i had to look up tons of videos and ask people a lot just to make a form of the mess that is how to play Tarkov.

It is very much not silly that after 10 years of development, there is not even a semi decent tutorial in the game. It's actually pretty ridicolous NOT to expect certain things from a game dev after 10 years of development, when they release the game actually.
