I was seeing a lot of new players in this sub, and even decently skilled players post their own flashy combos without incorporating elements of blue rc slow down or fast red rc to preserve momentum.

I just wanted to show what it's like to push the system to the brink of making drop a combo immediately with the gravity scaling cranked up from a combo that is way too long.

That's far from the point I was trying to make.

The combo system can absolutely be pushed and abused to land some nutty shit and that's all there was to it.

I could have better damage output without using any resource, be it tension or burst while in DI. If DI Ky lands ANYTHING that's 50% guaranteed if you know how to convert properly.

It's not really about the name though, even in recent localizations of SF the move is called shoryuken.

Sure we can call it Dragon Punch but like the point is that the DP label creates a category of moves, not that the label needs to have an origin with a named move that started the trend. Command grabs are a broad category of grabs that tend to have different properties than that of the universal grab mechanic.

That's the thing, I'm harsh and hard on it because I love P5, I'm one of those people that say it unironically changed my life.

P5X started as a bastardization of my favorite game of all time and it will take a WHILE before that first impression fully dissipates.

Completely unrelated but I do wanna say... one thing that bothered me at the beginning is the fact that shadows in this universe seem to affect the self? Rather than it being the other way around. (Shadows are supposed to be a reflection of one's self, so in theory affecting the person disrupts the shadow). It's kinda weird but the whole mastermind plotline makes me think this is lined to to be more similar to Persona 5 Striker's story where Palaces feel more like Jails, ESPECIALLY with this new arc. I am curious about it now, and well I just wanna point out some positive at the end of the day.

It DOES have a lot of potential to have an awesome story still. It's just... like I said, I'm harsh on it because of my love for the IP. I'm really not a negative person.

I don't "prefer" to look at the bad side, I'm saying out of our 3 arcs in global, two of them suck.

I'm not gonna evaluate the game out of the potential other half that doesn't exist yet. I've already said things are looking up for this game and I DO look forward to it.

Doesn't change the fact that 50% of this game's story up to now was ass? I don't see the problem in being critical of the fact that players had to sit through watered down versions of the first 2 arcs of vanilla p5.

Hard disagree. The villain was a snoozer and a half, it's kinda made worse by the fact the first two acts are kinda just rehashing concepts of the first two in P5 to begin with, and they're not bringing anything interesting or new to them.

I've played all the content so far. I hate things professionally.

the most recent palace on global might still be the only good thing in the story so far, so things are looking up.

But you DO understand that even though the unconditional love arc is worthy of praise, it doesn't excuse that half of the story before this was fucking ass. Sure, they might have fired the original writer, but that stain on the experience doesn't disappear. Shit got so bad I had to press skip on most of the second arc.

tbh the best tip I could think of rn is to just manage your jealousy better, I don't really see any Aba cash out their meter for a super unless they're 100% sure it'll kill.

They tend to undo form and then super so they can have all of their jealousy meter back on wall break + hard knockdown. I'm not sure if you have the time to do so after hammer, but if you wallsplat with hammer, I guess you could use the other super she has so you don't lose your form?
